Chapter 24

A cold breeze hit my body causing me to shiver. Standing here, Chris by my side and everyone in the pack in front of us. I look over their faces. Each person i would now class as a part of my family, whether it was a close relationship or just enough of one to be classed as friends, they have all grow on me. Goosebumps have risen on my arms while everyone is looking at Chris as she talks about the pack. I smile looking at her face, she seems to be serious and determined about the speech.

I get knocked out of my thoughts when she looks at me. I look around to see everyone looking at me, some giving me impatient looks and others just staring blankly right back. I feel my cheeks burn red as my body gets hot in embarrassment.

I turn back to Chris and raise my eyebrow before she rolls her eyes.

"I said." Chris joked. "Would you like to announce who the Beta's and the Omega's are."

I smiled at Chris before turning my attention back to everyone else.

"Ok, well. I would just like to say that the people chosen are most likely the best people to be chosen. Now! Saying this i would like to announce that Jason and Laura are.. the Betas, which means that Katy and Jessie are the Omega's. Yes i know Katy is a human but one day she will be a wolf like us." I winked at Jessie before continueing. "Everyone celebrate, go wild and have fun. Congratulations guys!" I exclaimed.

Everyone cheered while they surrounded the new Betas and Omegas. I felt arms wrap around my waist and a head on my shoulder.

Chris tightened her grip around me as I hummed in happiness.

"What's up babe?"

"Nothing just happy I guess." I mumbled.

Chris turned me around and smiled before pecking my lips.

"Hey Kota, wanna dance?"

I turned around to see Katy smiling at me. Through the corner of my eye I could see Jessie walking towards Chris. I giggled before nodding. I winked at Chris before walking off.

Kate grabbed my hand as I walked down the steps and to where everyone else was dancing. Me and Katy started dancing with each other, messing around slightly.

I looked over to see Chris and Jessie dancing too. I smiled at the sight of her laughing before I turned back around to Kate.

I listened to the song and shrugged when i couldn't recognise it. I looked at Katy to see her grinning before looking at the person playing the music that i only just noticed.

I raised my eyebrow at Katy before grinning when the song came on. I listened to the start of the song Closer by Tegan and Sara.

I sang along to the song while Katy laughed at me.
