People are after us and of course there is a fight between relationships. I want to pull all of my hair out of my head. Damn.
Avery had been stressed enough without all of this going on. Her friends were fighting. And her other friend was dead.
Avery kissed my bottom lip and squeezed my hand before walking into the new hotel. You'd think we were rich as hell with how many we've gone too, but let's just say our savings didn't go to college. I had enough I could stay at Harvard without having any financial problems. But shit happens.
"Avery I'm going to go get us some ice," Leah said softly before leaving the room.
"I'll go with her," Kacey said setting down his Nike bag.
"Of course," Michael said through his teeth. I rolled my eyes and pulled Avery into the closest bedroom.
"They make me so irritated!"
She smiled and nodded in a respectful manner.
"I love you, because I know this would never happen between us."
She kissed me again and held her lips there longer.
I smiled and slowly pulled her onto my lap. She snuggled into my chest and closed her eyes.
All of a sudden her phone ringed. She was sound asleep. Mom, it said. I answered it.
"Hello?"
"Hi Jax!," her mom said cheerfully. "How is she doing?"
"Well she's asleep, have you two been busy?"
"I left my phone at a restaurant we ate at. I just came back and retrieved it. What did you kids need?"
"Well we're in Paris right now, looking for you."
"Really! We've missed you kids so much! Come visit us anytime! We're staying at the hotel by the Eiffel tower. It's the huge one."
We passed that hotel at least one hundred times. I knew exactly where to go.
"Okay."
"Goodbye honey."
I hung up and kissed her shoulder before getting up and stepping out of the room.
"So," I sighed. "Has anyone grown up yet?"
They all looked down. I shook my head. "This isn't a sitcom. This is real damn life. Our lives are at stake. Stop worrying about who did what and go on. Let Leah be with whomever she wants. Both of you will have to respect that. But hurry up and figure it out because we're leaving."
We looked at each other before nodding.
"I want to be with Michael. Kacey was never my lover. I was drunk. Kacey explained that to me. I love Michael."
Kacey smiled and Michael looked took back. She wrapped her arms around him and he finally gave in and hugged her back.
Finally.
I went to get Avery, she was asleep. So adorable. I loved this fragile little girl so much.
"Baby," I whispered. "Baby girl."
She wiggled and looked at me. "Mom," she had a tear in her eye. Another nightmare, my poor baby girl.
I held her in my arms. "You'll be fine baby. I promise."
"She's dead," she whispered. "She died in my arms."
"No baby, she called you back. We're going to see her right now."
She looked up to me and kissed me. "I love you."
"I love you," I said and kissed her again. I did. With my life.
"Jax, you're my world."
"Avery you're my damn galaxy. I can explore you more than Neil Armstrong explored the moon," I winked.
She laughed and pushed me. I held on to her and pulled me down the ground with her.
"I was half kidding."
"I'm tired," she said laying her head on my lap. I nodded and leaned back so she had more space.
"Ready to see your parents?" She smiled and nodded. I kissed her forehead before getting up and pulling her up with me.
"We're ready," Kacey said. We were gonna bring our stuff to the hotel her parents were staying at. In case anyone invaded the hotel.
Paris weather was my favorite weather. The sun sparkled off of anything it could, and the sky looked like it was painted by van goh. Maybe Avery and I could get married here. I would love that. Getting married to the lady I love in the city of love. Makes a perfect fit, doesn't it?
As we walked up to the hotel, we had to force Leah and Michale away from each other. That was the strangest break up/ make up I've ever experienced. They've been making out since we got in the car.
"We're here to visit the Karter's," I said sliding down my sunglasses so I could see the person at the front desk.
"Room 314F," she said smiling at me. Not interested.
I nodded and followed the directions to get to the room. We took the elevator, they were on the sixth floor. The first five were reserved rooms I guess.
We got to the room and knocked.
Mr. Karter smiled and let us in. We quickly all shuffled in and locked the door.
"So why are you kids here?" Avery's mom said as she lied down on the couch.
"People are after us. Mostly, you're daughter," I sighed.
"We've known that since she was born," her dad said.
And finally everything made sense.

Woah there what do y'all think is going to happen next? The song is what I think explains Jax to Avery. He loves her so much, as all of you can tell on how he expresses his love for her. I've had ideas brought to me, good luck. I'll try and make tissues on sale at Walmart :) 😅
I love all of you readers. You make me smile :)

Xoxo,
Victoria
