O N E N I G H T S T A N DMilan stressfully parked in the funeral home parking lot. It had been a full week since her mother passed and today was finally the funeral. Milan couldn't wait to get this day over. Surprisingly, her vagina was still a little swollen after Tyreek literally beat her kitty up a couple days ago. His sex was everything and felt like everything. Tyreek definitely knew how to put it down. No wonder Stephanie went so crazy over him. That man dick had powers. She grabbed her black Celinè purse and got out the car. The weather was shiny and beautiful which was amazing. A funeral is always a little happier when the weather is good. She headed inside the funeral home and walked passed all the people waiting in the lobby.
She closed the dressing room door after her and looked in the body mirror. Her tight black dress clung to her figure like a glove. Her black Louboutins went nice with the dress and a pin with her mothers face on it was placed on her left breast. Milan breathed in and out. Although she came to terms that her mother was gone, she hadn't came to terms that this would be the very last time she would be able to hug, hold, kiss and see her mother. Milan checked her watch and the time had approached. She looked at herself in the mirror once more before leaving the dressing room.
"Milan, I'm so sorry about your mother. She was truly a great person. Keep your head up baby girl. I'm here for you." One of her mothers friends, Clarissa said.
Milan nodded. "Thanks so much."
She walked off from the lady and went inside the room where the funeral would be held. Her mothers snow white casket was placed in the center infront of off the rows of benches. Her picture was placed on the wall in back of the casket and her favorite song I will always love you by Whitney Houston played while everyone walked in.
Milan looked to her left and seen Meeca bribing the twins with candy if they sat down and be quiet throughout the entire funeral. Milan made a note to herself to thank Meeca for babysitting the twins today. The way she was feeling, she honestly didn't have the strength to be bothered with kids. It was nothing towards them, she was just mourning.
She sat down in the front row with shades over her eyes to cover her tears and red stained eyes. The preacher stood on the podium going through his scriptures while everyone agreed, clapped and lead him on.
"Now, we have Tanya's only child, Milan who will take the stand." The preacher got off the podium. Milan stood up and took the microphone out his hand before getting on the podium and facing the large crowd. All eyes were on her and she was nervous.
After a couple minutes of just staring, she finally started her speech.
"My mother was amazing. My mother was beautiful. My mother was everything to me. When I was a little girl, I remember her always being there for me. I never really knew my father so she played both roles. It wasn't easy and she often struggled many times but she always made it happen. I remember one night our electricity went out and she went to the store and bought ten candles and we sat down in the living room near the candles and played patty cake. When I was sixteen, she taught me how to walk in high heels. I was so happy to wear my first pair of heels. I felt so grown up. When I eighteen, she was at my graduation by herself, nobody else but her. She was so loud that day." Milan laughed to herself while remembering the day.
She continued. "When I found out I was pregnant at just twenty years old, my mom didn't bash me and judge me. She told me what I needed to hear. I may not have liked what she said but it was exactly what I needed to hear. Nine months later, I gave birth to my kids and she was there for me every step of the damn way. I was so young so I didn't know anything. She bought everything for my kids without me having to do a thing but breast feed them. For the past six years, she was like a second mom to my kids. You would've thought those were her kids. She even got mad at me for hitting my own kids. Lord, she loved them twins and she will be missed dearly. Thank you."
After the funeral was over and done with, everyone headed to the cemetery. The preacher said his scriptures once again then finally, Tanya was lowered into the ground. Friends and family members threw their roses down there with her. As everyone left the cemetery, Milan stood there for a couple more seconds crying. This was the final stage. She wiped her tears and headed back to her car. It was finally over with. She got back into the car and drove back to the funeral home to have the repast.
After the funeral, Milan and the kids got back inside the car and headed home. Standing in front of her house stood Tyreek with a bouquet of flowers and a humongous teddy bear. The ones the teenagers nowadays are dying over. A smile crept along her face as she got out the car. The kids ran up to Tyreek and embraced him before going in the house. He turned around and handed Milan the gifts.
"Thanks." She smiled.
"How was the funeral?" He asked.
"It was good, everything went good. My mama went out in style that's for sure." Milan chuckled to herself.
Tyreek nodded.
It was an awkward silence for a little while. Neither Tyreek or Milan knew what to say.
"Tyreek... About the sex, it didn't mean to happen. I was vulnerable and going through something and you was just horny. Let's forget all about it. I don't want it to cause a riff in us raising the twins."
He laughed. "Was it good tho?"
Milan slowly nodded her head. It was more than good. It was amazing.
"I don't see no problem in us havin' casual sex."
She sighed. "I do. I don't want to catch feelings for you. You have a girlfriend and I don't want her crazy ass coming after me. Let's just take care of the kids."
Tyreek nodded, "Aight shawty. I'm about to leave tho, let me say bye to the kids real fast."
The drama is about to heat up!
