I screamed loud then buried my head in the pillow.
Movie night is something Jace and I have always done since we were 8 years old. I've always loved movie night with Jace because he had this talent of changing my fear into laughter after every scary movie.

I look up out of the pillow to see what is happening. I don't always get scared watching scary movies, but leave it to Jace to find a scary paranormal movie for us to watch, knowing those freak me out.

Jace Andrew Kyle is my best friend, aside from Emily Silver of course. Jace and I have been friends since we were very young, I think our parents introduced us as toddlers. Emily became our friend when we were in 3rd grade, she ran up to Jace knocked him down and robbed him of his graham crackers then shared them with me. Em' doesn't like scary movies so she never does movie night with us when it involves a scary film.  So it's just him and I wrapped comfortably under a couple blankets on the livingroom couch.

"It's okay now, she's in the restaurant." Jace explained.

I lift my face away from the pillow, sit up and lean my head back on his shoulder as it was before. We watched the rest of the movie and then He got up from the couch, walked into the kitchen and got us something to drink. I, however, was sat completely still on the couch thinking about the movie.

"Scarlett? You okay?" He asked then sat the cups on the coffee table

"Scarlett, if you don't come back to life I'll pour this water on you."

He wouldn't.

He picked up one of the glasses of water and hovers it near my head.

Would he?

He tilts it over spilling all the contents of the cup onto my head.

Guess he would.

I looked straight into his eyes and said "Oh game on!"

I stood up and he started to back away. Not because he was scared but because I now had the other glass of water in my hand.

I walked towards him with the cup held high and threw the water at him. He ducked and ran down the hall. I ran after him shouting "Don't you run away from me, Jace!" He was now trapped at the end of the hall. I put my hands on the wall on both sides of him basically boxing him in.

"I tried to help, you were dead." He said with a little grin.

"How would pouring water on me bring me back to life?" I questioned.

"It worked." He responded.

I let him free then walked into his room shutting the door behind me. I looked through his dresser to find a shirt of his I could wear since mine was soaked. I found his Sleeping With Sirens shirt and changed into it. I put my wet shirt in his dirty clothes pile and walked back into the living room where he was cleaning up the water from the couch.

"You love that one don't you?" He said. I've spent the night at his house so many times that sometimes I would wear his clothes to sleep or something because I left mine at home.

"They are one of my favorite bands. You know that." I answered walking into the kitchen to grab some paper towel to clean the mess I made when I threw the water at him. After we cleaned up we watched a comedy to ease my nerves then we went to sleep.
