Love?

Chapter 6

The following day I woke knowing that I had to talk to Jace soon. I got up took a shower got dressed and walked out my house at noon.

I arrived at his front door around ten minutes later nervous.

How am I gonna say this to him? What is he going to think? Is he going to stop being my friend?

Knock knock.

"Hey Scarlett, I'm glad your here I wanted to talk to you." Jace said when he opened the door to my face.

"Really? Cool because I wanted to talk to you to." I replied.

"Okay come in." Jace said and let me into the house. I walked in and sat on the couch. He told me his mom went to the mall with her friends. I'm glad his mom isn't anywhere to be seen because I really wanted to talk to him alone. He sat next to me on the couch. I scooted closer to him and said "So what is it that you wanted to say to me?"

"Scarlett. I like you. A lot. I've loved you for years. I know I shouldn't say this because you're with Mason and I didn't because of that but that kiss.." He admitted without hesitation. "That kiss wasn't nothing. Was it?"

Wow, I didn't know he felt that way. That is a surprise. This makes it so much easier to tell him what I have to say.

"Jace. I love you too. I came over to tell you that." I responded happily. 

"Love?" Jace grinned. I said love! Shit.

I nodded nervously.

"But what about Mason?" He asked.

"Yesterday I went to his house to break up with him and his mom said he said he was with me. He was cheating and so I walked to the park and broke up with him while he was with his other girlfriend." I explained.

"Scarlett? Are you okay?" He asked and pulled me into a hug. He is so warm.

"Of course I am. I want to be with you... If you want to be with me." I said looking him in the eyes after the hug.

"Of course Scarlett. I love you." He responded locking eyes with me.

I leaned over to him and put my lips to his. Wrapping my arms around him I allowed his tongue to enter my mouth he put one of his hands on my back and the other in my hair. The kiss so passionate and real. My tongue moving with his. Letting all my feelings for him overcome everything else. I let the feeling guide my body. Jace's body heated mine as we kissed and I pulled him closer.

I heard the garage door opening knowing his mom was going to come in and to save her from the awkwardness of walking in on us kissing I pulled away.

About a minute later Mrs. Kyle came in the house.

"Oh Hi Scarlett! How long have you been here. Did Jace call you over?" She asked looking at Jace questionably. Me and Jace both stood up and walked to her.

"No Mrs. Kyle I came over to talk to him." I answered smiling.

"Well did you get the conversation you were looking for?" She asked walking toward the kitchen to put her drink in the fridge.

"I would say so. Yeah." I responded putting my hand into his.

She looked at me then at him then at our hands and she smiled.

"Oh my god yay!" She excitedly shrieked walking over to us. "This is... you two are.... Oh my god! Finally. I've been telling him to talk to you about this for weeks. Yay!" She hugged us both finished with "okay well I'm just going to my room you two can talk or whatever don't mind me." And walked away.

"Well that was something." I said to him.

"Yeah." 

I wrapped my hands around him looked at him and said "I'm glad this is happening. I love you Jace."

"I'm very glad this is happening. I love you too Scarlett." Jace said.

The following Monday We drove to Emily's house to pick her to go to school and we told her on the way there. She was surprised, relieved, and happy to hear the news.
