Your Turn

I fall into strong arms.

"Jason what are you doing?"

"Sshhh."

He places me on my bed and then he lays next to me. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me close. I plant my face into his chest. This is actually comfortable.

I wake up. Jason's gone.

"Jason?"

"Here"

I look across the room to see him leaning against the wall with the painting. On the end of my bed where eggs on toast. Yum! I pick it up and start gobbling down the eggs. He strolls to the door.

"Your late. Eat fast."

He walks out. I chuck my clothes on and grab the toast. Once out the door I sprint to the shed.

"Ah miss Fox. Late. Your the prey today. No weapons and everyone else can't hurt each other except you. You will kill someone to escape or some one will kill you. "

I feel so uneasy as i prepare to jump. I've never actually killed anyone I usually just hide. I jump though and as so as I land I feel like a trapped animal. This is a sick punishment for being late. I must hide then fight. I spot a rusty shed in the distance. I run towards it. Did anyone chose a bow? I reach the shed and pull myself up on top of it. A arrow zoomed past. Crap I guess someone did bring a bow.
I get a glimpse of light Brown hair. The hair belongs to no other than the most ruthless member of my class. Madison Miller. We were waiting for the portal the training over. No need to fight and she killed 3 people. You have to stay away from her. In her 5 years here she's killed 246 people. I jump off the shed trying to escape Madison's fire. As I go round the shed I bump into Chole. My instincts kick in. I stand and grab her sword off the ground. I spreed my feet for balance and as she stands I stab her sword strait through her chest. She screams and the need to help her over comes me. I feel her life drain and pull the sword out. Her skin goes paler than usual and she falls limp on the ground. I killed Chole. The need to help her dies too.

I wait for the portal wondering how Madison can do such horrible things. Ive killed 1 not hundreds and I feel terrible. I shudder remembering choles dead eyes stareing into mine. I use my telepathy and connect with Jason. As soon as we connect I can feel he's in pain. He hurt and bleeding. I begin to Sprint to were he is. As I do I search for other minds.

"Stop Phoenix it's a trap!"

I continue running towards him. I stop and reopen my mind. I can sense 3 people hiding behind the metal piles that surround Jason.

"Hold on a minute Jason."

I regrip the sword and make my way silently to the first person. I run and stab the sword though Drake. He moans quietly and falls to the ground. I make my way behind Jesse. I step on a twig ( I know cliche.) She turns and releases a fearsome battle cry, raises her spear and charges towards me alerting Madison in the progress. With Madison approaching fast I use my powers to literally explode Jesse's brain from inside her head. My healing power yearning to help them all. I start to sprint at Madison sword raised. She swings her metal bow towards my shin and I narrowly manage to block it with my sword. I slash at her only leaving a scratch on her arm. She screams then swings harder at my head. I duck and then stand stabbing my sword through her chest. Now I've killed drake, Jesse and Madison.

Leaving my sword inside her I rush to Jason. He's badly hurt and in danger of bleeding out.

"Hold still!"

I place my hands on his lower stomach trying to heal it enough so you can't see his insides anymore. Then with what little magic I have left I try to heal his nearly chopped off arm back on. It's a gruesome sight. He still has cuts but not life threatening so I'll worry about it later.

"I'll heal them tomorrow."

"Dont remove the scars like usual."

"Why?"

"I need a reminder that you don't need me"

"But I still need you! Jason I'd be dead with out you!"

"But your grown up and I can't force my ways onto you any more. You don't need me."

He looks down avoiding my gaze.

"Jason... I'll always need you."

I say in a hushed voice. The portal opens and he stands up, then limps through it leaving me there. Kneeling on the dusty ground.

"Guess he's not always gonna be there when I need him....."
