Recovery

I woke up the next day at noon. I turned to find a puffy eyed Chase fast asleep. I sat up in my creaky single bed to get a better look at him. He must of been crying recently. I looked him over, pulling the sheets down to see him better. I find a very bruised rib.

"Hold still."

I whispered as I placed my hand on his bruised side healing it. Wait how'd he get this? He wasn't hurt before in the hallway. Wait what happen in the hallway? All I remember is him holding me then.... nothing. KNOCK!KNOCK!

"I'm coming keep your pants on!"

I open the door to see a Jason sporting a bruised black eye.

"What happen to you?"

I say reaching for his injured face. He stepped back avoiding my hand.

"Please don't touch me... I'm here to check on Chase."

"He's asleep and why Chase?"

Omg my friend might of taken my man right from me. Their together and that's why there bruised they were having an out of controll make out session!

"Where linked and its my duty to protect my royal."

"Wait like tattoos and everything or are you just swapping practice partners because you do-"

"Me and him are linked Phi."

"What?! When?! Where!? And how?!"

"Last night you collapsed in Chases arms. He was taking you back when you were jumped by venom. You connected are minds and I came running. There were about 15 guys. Chase and 3 guards were doing a good job but Chase was against trained hunters and his powers aren't really useful in a fight. So-"

"Wait where was I and how'd I do that in my sleep?"

"Aahhh... Chase said he said get Jason Phi and you connected to me in your sleep. Oh and you where on the floor still unconscious they tried waking you but you were out of it. Now as I was saying we fought them off but one of them pulled a knife on one of the guard and killed him. Then he came for you Chase jumped in front of him to save you. He stabbed Chase and then killed him. The guards called in a mover to help chase but-"

"What's a mover?"

"Aahhh... a mover is a royal who can use other powers. She placed her hand on your leg and healed Chase."

"Then why is he bruised and why are you two linked?"

"Because he was dieing right then and there so a passing power tech teacher linked us."

I stepped back letting him in. He sat on the chair next to my bed. I sat on the edge of my bed next a still very asleep Chase.

"Wait why'd linking you two make him okay all of a sudden?"

"Um when your linked you can give the other strength and health."

"Why'd you say that like I should know?"

"Because you should know the link tech teachers have told you this a thousand times."

"Oh that's why I sleep in that class."

"You sleep in most class's."

"Exactly."
