The Mix

Venom

Chase, Jason, little Mix and I were all sitting in head mistress Red's office waiting for answers. She walked in straight and proper. She sat across from us and folded her hands on her lap.

"So no dilly dallying. You too were unsuccessfully kidnapped by venom. A group who sorts out the unnatural supernatural specimens of the world. They captured you 2 to lure Phoenix. They'll come back for her with a better plan."

"Why did they catch both of us?"

"And why me?" Adds Jason.

"Because they needed a back up plan if one of you weren't tempting enough for her to risk capture. They picked you because you and miss Fox have been long term friends meaning you have more value to her than her other friends. They picked Chase because you two have been seen in public together meaning you two have some kind of relationship."

"Whats going to stop them from coming back for them and then me? Also I have a statement to make. They were a shitty organization if I can take them out by myself."

She started to fidget nervously.

"We will turn the barrier back on and add more staff. This may attract unwanted media but we must protect are students. Now if there are no more questions you may leave. Also they are not bad at what they do. The first 3 men were tests, to ahh.. see what they are up agasint I suppose."

"I have one final question. What's the rule on pets?"

I said trying to avoid reality for as long as possible.

"That's an off topic question Phoenix? But never mind you are aloud small ones as long as they are not noisey and they must be well kept and controlled or locked up safely."

Jason left quickly after shooting me a confused look and thanking head mistress for her time. Then Chase grabbed my hand and lead me to the hallway.

"My parents aren't going to like this once they find out. They don't even like the fact were kinda dating. I don't know what I'm going to tell them?"

"Tell them nothing then."

"They'll find out."

"Whats the worst they'd do?"

"They'll send me to boarding school and destroy your future."

Tears began to well up in my eyes and I fight to keep them from falling.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you."

The two people I love the most in my life are in danger. Chases parents are scared of me and now have a reason to destroy me and to top it off Jason's probably going to avoid me from now.

"I'm sorry. I swear I'll make everything okay."

Chase continued to mumble comforting things as I fell to the floor and began to cry. He wouldn't look at me but Chase dropped to the floor and wrapped his arms around me anyway. His arms made a place were for those few minutes everything was fine and I was safe.
