Daniel's POV
Unlocking the front door, I swung the door open and hung up my belongings. It was around one am and the house was silent except for the occasional ticking of a clock. Silence was normal occurrence when I'd stay this long at work. With everyone asleep and nothing on, I was the only person awake at the time. Although it gave me time to think it also gave me the emotion of feeling unentertained and alone.

I softly padded through the hallway and up the stairs to Aphrodite's room, trying to be careful not to wake up any of my staff. They worked hard and deserved their rest. I wasn't a ruthless man but I was strict. With the large sum they were paid, I wanted the outcome to be worth my spending.

I came to a stop outside Aphrodite's room and softly opened the door, the door creeking a bit as I did so.

She was acting quite a bit off since chassidiy's appearance a while ago. We weren't dating but we used to obtain a strictly sexual relationship and I've made it clear I don't love her. She's beautiful and all but she's just not my cup of tea. I didn't think of her as a wife or my companion. She was just an outlet, one that I regretted. I had made my ambitions towards her clear but some women never listen. She just wasn't the one, the women I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.

But Aphrodite is, the voice in my head said. I pushed it to the back of my mind as I continued to push open her room door. I just needed to know that she was safe.

I huffed out a tiresome sigh as I quietly tip toed into her room to check on her, as I'd done every night. Walking up to the bed, I realized it was completely made and missing a rambunctious yet beautiful women. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion as I turned on the light and saw that the bed was empty. She wasn't in the room at all. Not even in her reading spot by the window. Rushing out and to the library, I searched for Aphrodite. I threw open the doors and searched in every nook and crany she would be in, reading or dozed off. But she wasn't anywhere inside the vast library.

She wasn't in her normal exploration places. Not the gym, the library or my office. Where is she?!?! My mind van came to the conclusion that she wasn't in the house at all. Which didn't give me any good vibes on where she could be except with him.

With dean. He now had her and Christian.

"Aphrodite?!" I shouted out, refusing to believe she was gone. No answer rang out. "Aphrodite?!" I'd shouted even louder. I ran down the stairs and into the servalince room, most of the staff trailing behind me. They had most likely woken up from my screaming. but I didn't care, I was looking for her. I was looking for Aphrodite.

"Move." I grumbled out at the half asleep guard in charge of our servalince. He moved away as a few members of my staff ran into the room. Half of the cameras where covered in white while some of them still worked. Checking their history I saw a hooded figure spraying shaving cream all over the cameras. Most of their face was hidden except for the bright blue eyes that shone from underneath her hair and hoodie.

"Aphrodite." I said as it dawned on me that she was the hooded figure. She was clad in one of my old hoodies and used her hair as a curtain to cover most of the features of her face.one of the cameras that she missed had shown her taking the keys to the furrari and driving out with a bag and a plentiful amount of strive.

"Shit!" I yelled. "Where did she go?!" I yelled at my staff as they stared at me, wide eyed and gulty. I knew it wasn't their fault, Aphrodite had planned this well. But not well enough to leave her phone which I had put in a tracking device in. It was originally placed in there so that she if she was ever kidnapped we'd be able to find her.

I mad a mad dash to the screen that contained the tracking of her cellphone, pushing a few members of my staff out of the way. The red dot that indicated her location was unmoving in the woods about three hours away.

My thoughts jumped to the worst conclusion. Dean wanted revenge on Aphrodite's father but he couldn't have just left her out there without rubbing his victory in our faces. The contradicting voice of reasoning sounded in my head and apposed my negative thoughts.

She couldn't be dead, she just couldn't. Aphrodite had a life to live. Her father needed her. I needed her. But for only business reasons of course.

I ran my fingers through my hair as I asked the guard to pull up her coordinates.

Aphrodite was my responsibility, it was my fault she was gone. How couldn't I notice the clear withdrawal she had showed. Her death would have been on my hands.

As a mafia boss it wasn't hard for me to kill. But she was different. She helped me. She didn't throw herself at me. She was herself and one of the strongest people I would ever meet. She couldn't be gone. She wasn't. And I wasn't about to let her go just yet.

Aphrodite was still alive and I was going to go get her back.

Snapping out of my thoughts, I turned around to address my staff and the guard.

"Print out the coordinates and send them to my phone and all the car's Gps. Gather our men and tell then to come prepared for a fight. They will follow me out in their cars while I ride one of my own. As for the rest of you, I want you to see to it that when Aphrodite comes back she can have a nice meal." I rushed out and walked out towards the garage.

****************

The men had only taken a good ten minutes by the time they were ready. But by then I was already on my way with them closely following behind.

We had been driving for two hours and I hadn't seen any signs of distress.
The voice of the GPS, snapped me out of my daze with it's directions to turn a sharp left. I quickly steered the car left as I heard the screeching of my car tires.

I groaned as the car tossed me up and down but continued following the coordinates until I saw a light up ahead. I sped through the woods as fast as I could manage until I saw the rear lights of my Ferrari.

"Cuzzo!" I cursed as I threw open the door of my car and hastily stepped out. I ran away from the car and went skidded over to Aphrodite's. Looking inside I realized she wasn't in there or anywhere around.

"Aphrodite!" I yelled. My voice sounded through the forest but yet I received no answer. My legs carried me through the forest as I rushed to pull out my gun. Dispair hurtled through my veins as I continued my search.

Wind swirled around me as I ducked under branches and nearly tripped on uprising tree roots.

"Aphrodite!" I'd called out once more but yet the only sounds I'd heard were ones of the forest.

With my racing heart feeling as if it had fallen into my stomach, I ran faster through the woods in search for her. The loud pumping of my heart ringing through my ears as I looked around.

"Aphrodite! Tesoro!" I called out again. But there was no noise. No sassy remarks from my Aphrodite. No insults were thrown at me. No infuriating jokes. There was nothing but a faint crack of a branch to my left and a raspy voice calling out.

"Daniel." Was rasped out as I ran to the small shadow slouched underneath a willowy oak tree.

This wasn't my sassy hard headed Aphrodite.

With blue lips that had a purple hue to them. My Aphrodite was a minute away from being frozen. Her hair drenched and eyes half lidded, she tried to speak but her eyes started to drop as she did so.

"No no no no no!" I said as I reached down and pulled her into my arms. She was freezing. "Aphrodite, please Cara. Stay with me." I told her as I ran to the car.

Placing her in the passenger seat, I buckled her in and quickly ran to the other side.

Starting the car I frantically dashed out the woods and onto the road but by then Aphrodite had lost all consciousness and was dropped in the passenger seat with soggy hair and shut eyes.

"Aphrodite?" I called to her. But not a sound was made. Not even the harsh screams from my throat could wake her up.

She was gone.
