Daniel's P.O.V
It had taken me about three blinks, two deep breaths and about five minutes to realize that it was Aphrodite who was laughing and that it was in fact her blue eyes that were smiling back at mine. It seemed like a dream. I had missed her laugh, her smile and her fiery comebacks. Before she escaped we weren't on good terms and it was up to me to fix it. I just couldn't lose her again even if she was just a guest.
I shook myself out of the shock that had momentarily come over my body, seizing any action that would result in waking me up from this long anticipated dream.
"Aphrodite?" I said as a gigantic grin began to spread across my face.
She rolled her eyes and smirked once more. "No, it's Medusa." She humored and started to hiss and giggle.
I sighed in relief and rolled my eyes as well. "I take it you're completely fine since your smart mouth is back." And hopefully going to stay, I thought to myself.
"I'm not completely fine. My head hurts like a bitch, what happened anyway?" She said as she laid back in bed. Was she serious?
My eyebrows scrunched up as I looked at her confused. "You don't remember?"
"I do, its just I don't know to what extent the damage is." She said as she glanced at her bruised leg.
I ran a callused hand through my hair as I decided I would find out the reason for her escape after I told her that she'd been out for quite some time. Four days wasn't as long as most people stayed in a coma but those four days were the longest I had ever experienced.
She was my breath of fresh air Without her I'd become nothing. I'd waste away and become the shell of a man I was before Aphrodite fell into the palms of my callused hands.
I took a deep breath and decided I was going to take a gentle approach with this topic. Aphrodite had a temper and I didn't want to do anything to provoke her in leaving me again.
If she left again I wasn't sure if I'd make it through.

What on earth was I thinking? It was absolutely idiotic to escape and try to find Christian. It didn't once cross my mind that dean would kill us both.
I sighed as I ran a hand through my hair, trying to untangle the bird's nest my hair resembled.
"Argh!" I growled as I tried to comb through it with my fingers. But to my dreadful luck nothing prevailed. I huffed, giving up as I sank once more into the bland bed.
A deep chuckle sounded from what I presumed to be the door to the bathroom. There he stood, in all his glory leaning against the doorframe of the bathroom, his steel blue eyes crinkling in amusement as a humorous grin stretched across his face. "Why is it you're always fighting with inanimate objects?" He asked as he came and sat in the chair next to my bed.
I glared at him and scowled deeply. "Why is it you're always stalking me, hmm?" I asked.
"Because, as you've proved many times, you can not be left alone."
He said smugly, sitting back in his chair and crossing his hands over his chest.I frowned and glared at him. "You little-" I started but before I could finish the door bust open revealing a tall man dressed in a long white lab coat.
"I take it Aphrodite is awake and well." He said, walking into the room.
"Yes and a bit feisty too." Daniel muttered under his breath. My gaze snapped from the man to him and I sent him a silent yet deadly glare. He quietly snickered and focused his attention on the man in the room.
