Selena's POV

Sam walked shakily through the front door with a wide grin upon her face. "Home." She murmured, sitting down on the sofa. "It's good to be back." I smiled as she switched the tv on and began to flip through the channels.

"Do you want anything to eat?" I asked, heading to the kitchen.

"Yeah... Um... Got any Pop Tarts in?" Sam was glued to the tv. I laughed, grabbing her favourite snacks from the cupboard and sticking them in the toaster. I bet she'd missed proper food, well, junk food. "Hey, why didn't you mention that there was a new series of Once Upon a Time!" Sam cried as I entered with the sugar filled pastries.

"Oh yeah," I recalled. "That guy from The Rite plays-" She cut me off.

"Don't spoil it for me! Omigosh! Sugar!" She spotted the Pop Tarts and grinned.

Two boxes of Pop Tarts and I didn't want to know how many calories later, Sam finally said it.

"L, we need to talk about Danny." I knew it was coming, in fact, I was surprised she hadn't broached the subject sooner. But her health was higher on my priorities list than Danny O'Donoghue right now, so I didn't exactly care. Sighing, I turned to the blonde.

"Go on."

"You need to call him. It's been six months for God's sake!" She began. "You can't just not talk to each other. You are both grown up adults, and you need to act that way. Talk to each other." I rolled my eyes.

"If he wanted to talk, he would've called me. Now stop sounding like you know what you're doing and let's just watch a film." Sam gave me a look.

"Lena, I do know what I'm doing. I've watched hundreds- no thousands of romance movies. You need to talk to each other, it'll all work out after that." Sighing, I replied.

"Look Sam, this isn't Cinderella or Romeo and Juliet. It's real life and it can't be fixed by a bloody fairy godmother or a magic potion!"

"You're in denial!"

"No I'm fucking not!"

"Don't you swear at me!" Sam scowled as I glared.

"I'm not talking to him if he won't talk to me, end of conversation." I finalised. Rolling her eyes, Sam gave in, grabbing a DVD and placing it in the player. "Really? Maid In Manhattan?" I asked skeptically as the titles began to roll.

"Yeah! It's perfect!" I raised an eyebrow at her positive attitude.

"Explain."

"Well... It's like Danny is the Senator, you are the Maid, and I'm her kid in the middle who gets them back together!" Her logic really was strange.

"So now I'm your mother?" Sam nodded and grinned.

"Aw mommy!" She cried, wrapping her arms tightly around me. Both laughing, we got comfortable and began to watch the cheesy movie.

Danny's POV

I sat staring at the phone. As usual, it didn't ring. No surprise. All I needed to do was punch in that number, the one I'd memorised by heart. Why couldn't I do it again? I'd been sat here so long that I'd forgotten.

Maybe I just didn't want to talk to her, or I just couldn't be bothered. Whatever, I'd have to do it sooner or later.

Slowly, I pressed the buttons down, listening to the monotone beep as the phone rang. Then it stopped.

"Hello?" Lena's voice. What was I supposed to say?

"Um... Hi."

"Danny?" Oh crap.

"Er... Yeah." What was with the one word answers?

"What do you want?" She didn't sound angry, just confused.

"Erm... Well, we kinda need to talk don't we?"

"I s'pose."

"So how do we do this?" God this is awkward.

"Dunno, should I start with 'Why the hell haven't you called me sooner?'" Now she was mad.

"Hey! You're the one who caused all of this! I didn't exactly ask you to go around snogging other lads when I'd been away three bloody hours!" Maybe that was uncalled for.

"Oh shut up, we can't do this over the phone." She had a point. A voice called out in the background.

"Hey L, did you tidy my room while I was gone?!" Who was that? Cat? Lea? I heard Lena sigh into the receiver.

"One minute!" She sounded tired. "I gotta go. When are you in London next?" I thought for a moment.

"The Voice starts filming next week so probably... Tuesday?"

"Ok then. I'll meet you at that little Italian place at around noon?" I found myself agreeing without realising it.

"Sure. See ya."

"Bye."

The line went dead and I lay back on the sofa. What the hell had I just done? How was I supposed to talk my way out of this? Did I really want to talk to Lena after what she'd done?

What was I saying? Of course I wanted to see Lena, I missed her, but she'd hurt me. That was the problem.

Tuesday was going to come quickly.

Selena's POV

I can't believe I agreed to meet him. It wasn't like I didn't miss him, it was just that I didn't have a clue how to explain it all. Where would I start? What would I say? Sorry?

God I hated men sometimes.
