There was a girl named Penny. Penny had a great family. She lived with a good-provider dad, a caring mother and a big brother whom she dearly loved named Jaidee.

Penny looked up to her big brother. He was her protector, her knight in shining armor, and her closest companion. With him, she felt happy, safe and loved even if everything seemed to fall apart.

The time came when her family was put under fire. They learned about her father's infidelity. She then realized that the family she thought tight and strong was just a façade, an illusion to cover the internal turmoil within.

That incident left a huge crack in her family's relationship especially with her mom and dad. Regardless of what happened, her brother Jaidee never left her side. And Penny found comfort on that.

She thought, "With Jaidee on her side, even if the stars and moon collide, and the Earth crumbles to pieces under her feet, everything would be okay. She had her brother with her."

In time, they learned to accept her father's unfaithfulness and they moved on from the dark chapter of their lives.

However, although they were complete and together under one roof, she felt that her family was miles apart from one another.

Penny tried to pull her family back together, to the way it was before. But her efforts were rendered futile.

Her father left them eventually.

Penny was hurt. Aside from the physical and emotional pain she was carrying, she also felt ten times more upon seeing her mother's situation.

Though grief-stricken by what had happened, Jaidee always managed to make Penny and his mother smile and laugh. He made things light, easy and breathable for all of them.

Penny found comfort on that. She thought once more, "With Jaidee on her side, even if the stars and moon collide, and the Earth crumbles to pieces under her feet, everything would be okay. She had her brother with her."

The situation grew on them. They learned to live their lives as normal as possible without the presence of their father under the same roof.

Penny loved her dad. And her dad loved her too. Though her father found happiness with another woman, she still paid visits to him often.

Until one day, her dad got into an accident and he died.

Never in a million years had Penny ever imagined something like that would happened to her beloved dad. That news broke her heart. The father she loved was dead. And there was nothing she could do to make things different.

Penny was inconsolable. She locked herself in her room and cried her heart out for what seemed like forever.

Then, one day, she heard a knock on her door. It was her brother Jaidee, trying to console her and make things better.

He came in and gave Penny a warm hug. Still in tears, she hugged him back. He then gently placed her head between the palms of his hand, looked deeply into her eyes, leaned closer and pressed his lips against hers.

Though shocked and taken by surprise by what was happening, Penny closed her eyes and let Jaidee lead her.

She felt his soft lips as they crashed on hers demandingly and passionately. His hands travelling down from her cheeks to her waist as she felt lost with his warm embrace. Though she tried to make herself stop, the overwhelming emotion she felt overpowers her rational thinking.

Losing the battle from his feelings, she couldn't help but return the kiss and let a soft moan escaped from her throat. As if she had no control over her own body, her arms absentmindedly wrapped around his neck while her fingers dug into his hair, encouraging him to go on.

Penny knew it was wrong, that they shouldn't do this, that it was a sin... but something about the kiss, the intimacy and what they were doing she felt right.

She knew all along that she felt something different for her brother. She knew it was more than brother-sister love. She knew it was definitely love.

Penny was in love with her brother Jaidee and she knew he felt the exact same way about her.

Afterwards, Jaidee promised that everything would be okay, that no matter what happened he would always be with her and he would never leave Penny. He then kissed her one last time, put on his shirt and exited her room.

Gasping for air, Penny collapsed on her bed with a smile. Though her beloved father was gone, she still found comfort with what Jaidee told her. She thought, "With Jaidee on her side, even if the stars and moon collide, and the Earth crumbles to pieces under her feet, everything would be okay. She had her brother with her."

Months passed and Penny felt strong enough to move on from her loss. She tried living again knowing that her mother and brother Jaidee would always be there.

"Penny, remember, the best way to live your life is to live with no worries." Jaidee said one July morning.

Penny put that to heart and gave her brother a kiss on the cheek, careful not to let their mother take notice of what they were doing.

Realizing their mom wasn't looking, Jaidee grabbed her arm, pulling her back to him and kissed Penny on her lips passionately.

One late afternoon, Penny was out with friends. She didn't tell her whereabouts to her mother or to her brother Jaidee.

Hours passed and he was beginning to get worried for his sister. He feared for the worst because he thought that Penny would never not answer his call or text messages unless something bad had happened to her.

So he grabbed his jacket and went out searching for his sister.

Late that night, Penny got home. She reached for her phone in her bag and smiled on her brother's silly text messages.

"You're worried for nothing." she thought.

Penny opened the door and found her mother crying on their sofa. She got puzzled. She didn't know why her mother was weeping as if someone had died.

"Why? What happened?" Penny asked.

Her mother looked at her. Grieve was obvious on her eyes as they ooked tired crying for hours.

"Your brother's got into a terrible accident." her mother's tearful answer.

"He was out  looking for you, really worried sick. He was about to cross the street when a car hit and ran him over. His head was cracked open... and... and... he's dead, Penny. Your brother's dead..."

Hearing the news from her grieving mother, Penny fell to the ground. The words felt like knives stabbing through her chest. Her heart sank and the never-ending tears streamed down her eyes.

At that moment, Penny felt that the stars and moon collided and the Earth crumbled to pieces under her feet. Everything was not okay. Everything was falling apart.

The worst part was... she didn't have her beloved brother Jaidee with her.

Her brother was gone.
