Christian's POV

"♫ So I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you. I'm gonna hold you like I'm saying goodbye ♪♪" Candice sang as she played the piano.  I'm at Candice's studio, and I'm watching her practice 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' by Meghan Trainor. She doesn't know that I'm here yet.

She finished singing, and I decided to make my presence known. "You know, it's amazing how I still get me mesmerized each time you sing."

She looked at me and blushed. Finally she's the one blushing and not me. "Sorry. I didn't see you there."

"It's okay, Sweetheart. So, what are you doing?" I said as I came near her study table. I saw a small notebook with an animated girl staring at the moon as the cover.

"Nothing much. I'm just practicing some songs," she said as I snatched the notebook from the table. She saw me do that, and she ran up to me to get the notebook. But before she could take it away from me, I held it up high. Her being small, she couldn't reach the notebook. haha. "Christian, give that back! You don't have to see that."

I looked at her and asked, "Why? What's in written in here? Am I not allowed to look at it?"

She stomped her foot and crossed her arms. "Fine. Go ahead, read it." Clearly, she wasn't happy.

"There was this girl who loves the moon, big and bright.

In darkness, it was her only source of light.

At night, it leads her through the forest

So she can reach the clearing where she finds rest."

"The girl loves a certain boy just like how she loves the moon.

She often wondered if God would make him notice her soon.

But for now, all she could was wait

For God was the only One who holds her fate."

"Years passed, and now, she's all grown up.

She's beautiful and likes to dress up.

But still, she remains the girl he doesn't notice

Because she said, "He's busy at the office.""

"There are two things that the girl didn't know.

One was the fact that he loves the moon also.

Two was the fact that he was a monster.

He was a monster who's always been in love with her."

"He was a monster. She was a human.

He was something somewhat like a lycan.

He was burly. She was dainty.

They were opposites, but somehow they matched perfectly."

"Did you write this?" I asked Candice.

"Yeah, but it was just for fun. Nothing serious. It's not even finished yet."

"It's good. You should continue writing it, Sweetheart." I smiled at her and asked, "So is the guy like a werewolf?"  Candice nodded. "What made you write something about a werewolf?"

She looked embarrassed, but nonetheless she answered. "I used to read fictional stories about half humans and half wolves. I liked it especially when the guys are older than their mates and they're full-on alpha males." She smiled sheepishly at me.

I sat at her chair as I thought of something. Oh, so she likes those qualities in a man? "Sweetheart, how old are you?"

     "Twenty-six. Why?" Candice replied.

"Oh nothing. I'm 30 so I'm like four years older than you. Also, at times I can really be like an alpha male," I stated.

She smiled mischievously at me and walked towards me. She sat sideways on my lap and put one arm around my neck. "Mr. Knight, are you trying to impress me?"

I wrapped my arm around her waist and said, "Me? Impress you? Pfft. Why would- No. haha." Gosh I'm a blabbering mess, and I just know that I'm blushing right now.

Candice laughed and said, "You're blushing! That means you're lying, Mr. Knight."

I hid my face at the crook of her neck to hide my blush, and she continued to laugh. Geez, Knight, man up. After a few moments, I lifted my head from her neck and asked, "Did it work?" She raised an eye brow in question. "I mean were you...impressed?" I looked at her expectantly.

She laughed, and she placed her other hand on my cheek. She kissed me and said, "It worked."
