Stranger's POV

I'm out sitting on the park bench. The church service just ended, and now people are coming out of the church. It's obviously a Sunday, and the weather is great. "Mommy!" I heard a little girl about the age of five exclaim.

"Dumpling!" a pregnant Candice exclaimed back to her daughter. Don't worry. Dumpling is not her daughter's name. No matter how much Christian loves his wife, he wouldn't let her name their daughter dumpling. Her name is Caramel. Oh by the way, neither Christian nor Candice named their daughter. It was David. Yeah that guy surprisingly convinced Christian to let him be friends with Candice. They're basically best friends. The little girl giggled as Candice put a flower in her black hair. Yeah she got her dad's hair and her mother's eyes. "Why don't you go to daddy first. Mommy just has to talk to someone."

"Okay," Caramel said happily as she skipped over to Christian. When she was right in front of Christian, Christian bent down to his daughter's height.

"Hey sweety! That's a pretty flower you got there." Christian smiled at his daughter. Caramel just smiled back and removed the flower from her hair. She put it behind Christian's ear, and she just giggled. Christian batted his eyelashes and said in a high-pitched voice, "Do I look pretty?"

Caramel laughed and replied yes. "As pretty as mommy?" Christian asked again.

Caramel frowned at this and said, "No. No one is as pretty as Mommy."

Christian smiled and picked up his daughter. He stood back to his full height and said in a normal voice, "Yep. I agree. Besides, I can't be pretty. I'm a man." Christian fake frowned to look tough, and Caramel nodded while mimicking her dad's face. "Daddy's tough. Daddy's strong," he said while flexing his free arm. "And Daddy's pretty," he said in a girly voice while lifting a leg.

Caramel giggled and fake scolded, "Daddy!" Christian chuckled and seconds later, their laughter died down. Caramel wrapped her tiny arms around her dad's neck and laid her head on his shoulder. "Daddy, I want ice cream."

"Oh sweety, your mom's gonna kill me if I buy you ice cream before we have our lunch," Christian said as his eyes drifted off to Candice with a loving look on his face. Nothing's changed. He still looks at Candice like a love sick puppy.

Caramel looked at Christian with puppy eyes and said, "That's alright. It's you she's gonna kill, not me."

Christian looked at Caramel with a bored expression and said, "Wow sweety. I can really feel your love." She kept pouting and right then Christian knew he should get ready for the scolding he'll get from Candice later. "Oh alright. Let's get you some ice cream." Christian couldn't resist his daughter's request.

Him and Candice have been married for 7 years now, and they're still in love as before. They have Caramel and another one is on the way. It's a boy this time.

I felt someone sit beside me. I said, "You do know that Christian is buying Caramel an ice cream, right?"

She laughed and said, "Yeah, but I think I'll let this one slide." A few seconds passed, and again she spoke, "If you told me seven years ago that I would be happily married to Christian Knight, I would've thrown my head back, laugh at you, and call you crazy. But seeing my life today, I would've said sorry and call myself a liar." Again a few seconds of silenced passed and she said, "You're probably the reason why I am happy right now. I always knew you were looking out for me. Thanks, Dad."
