An attack!

Prakruthi's POV

With a sigh I peeked at my clock on the desk. It's 11pm, got to bare another lecture from dad.
There are several missed calls from mom and dad. I am trying to call but both of their phones are not reaching, strange! Anyways I am going home, so I can find out.

After reaching home I took bath and wore a long oversized t shirt with 3/4th pants leaving my hair down. May be my parents must be sleeping. Up on reaching kitchen I heard noise, it must be mom. Only one light is on for the whole kitchen with minimum visibility only a shadow is visible. I am rooted to the spot the figure moving around the kitchen does not belong to neither of my parents.

Okey take a deep breath don't panic, chanting slowly I went behind the person with a pan to hit on his head but the next second I see myself pinned to the fridge. That was a bad idea I should have called in for security or yelled for my parents. What if this guy kill me or hurt me I must shout. I opened my mouth but before that a hand covered it. All this time I couldn't see his face its out of focus. I bit the hand and started shouting for help and he too was shouting.

Security man came in a rush to check up on the commotion. That's when I saw the burglar's face, I was shocked to see him in my house. You!!! I exclaimed yes it's me he assured. What are you doing at this hour in my kitchen.

Secured guy interrupted us. Madam sorry sir told me to give you this letter he said and handed both of us a letter each and left.

A letter from my father? That too for him in my house. what's happening in this house, it's so confusing. Since I couldn't figure out what is happening the best was to start from the letter. So I started reading the letter.

My dear Apple, sorry to inform you in this way, as you are reading this letter we are in the flight to London. I tried calling you to inform but no use. I asked Abhishek to stay with you until we are back. I don't have time to explain, I will call you after reaching. Hope you will understand, because your little brother is in hospital a small accident, you please don't panic. Love you my dear take care.

Nothing registered in my mind it was all too much at once so I had to read it twice. Then it hit me hard.

Letter slowly slipped out of my hand. My vision started blurring and I am going to hit the floor. But I felt two hands grabbing my shoulders and making me sit. Some one is speaking it's not clear. What will happen to my brother with that thought I blanked out.

Abhishek's POV

Mr.Rao instructed the security guy to let me in, so I came an hour back but could not find Prakruthi. After changing in to a comfortable t-shirt and shorts I went to kitchen to eat something. I had no time after coming from office had to pack and come here. The room they gave me is nice and comfortable on second floor. I don't even know the light switches in this house , were could Prakruthi be?

While searching for food I heard very light foot steps coming towards me And then saw a shadow on the fridge some one is ready to attack me with a pan. I was on high alert in seconds I pinned my attacker to the fridge.

Thank you God, it's Prakruthi, She looks different, every time we are this close to each other I am spellbound with her beauty. A goddess is standing with nice and long hair reaching below her hip. She is about to open her mouth to shout so I closed her mouth with my free hand. Since its not fully lit in here she is unable to see my face I guess. I did not expect the next move of her she bit my hand and we both started to scream me out of pain and she probably thought me as a kidnapper or something.

Security man came in a rush to see the commotion and switched on more lights. You!!! She exclaimed. Yes it's me I assured her. What are you doing here at this hour in my kitchen? She questioned.

Sorry madam sir told me to hand you this letter and sir this is for you saying that the security guy gave each one an envelope and left.

I opened my letter dear and started to read.
Abhishek I am sorry for giving the responsibly of my Apple to you in such a short notice. But I trust you. Since I did not find time to inform you few things about Prakruthi I am mentioning them here.
Your room on second floor is adjacent to Prakruthi's so that in case she gets nightmares you will be able to hear her.
Secondly most of the night she hardly sleeps for about 4 hours. At times not even that due to nightmares which is when she takes sleeping pills. But we try and make her not take pills because she is addicted to pills.
I will be in touch. Lastly she might not take the news of her brother's accident that well, she will try and act bold for sure. Thank you, take care.

When I saw Prakruthi, she was not steady she was about to hit the floor, at that exact moment I held her by shoulder and made her sit on the sofa. You look pale, do you need some water I asked by then she passed out leaning awkwardly on me.

I slowly made her lie down on the sofa. After fetching some water tried sprinkling some water on her face. It worked she slowly opened her eyes and I took water bottle near her lips to drink. She drank it with out a word.

Hi readers another early update from for all the lovelies.
There won't be an update for at least 10 days because I will be busy.
