Nightmare:

Hi readers I know I took time to up date but this chapter reveals little of Prakruthi's married life. So I had to work little extra on it. Hope you like it.

Prakruthi's  POV :

Hello dad how is Sagar( Prakruthi 's little brother) keeping? After talking for a while. Hope he gets well soon. I will take care, love you, bye, saying it I hung up. It's been a week since my parents left to London. My brother is suffering from few minor fractures in one arm and leg but nothing major. In spite of knowing his condition is better, I still can't bare that I am unable to take care of him when he is suffering on a hospital bed.

I was always a introvert but that doesn't mean I don't fight with my brother or not done any naughty stuff at home. Though I am known as an above average student at school and college and a reserved person I had my share of fun with my family and friends.

To me, my family is first and then the rest of the world. My father is my best friend. I love him so much that I married the one he showed me.

Marriage, it has changed my whole life up side down. Until that fateful day I thought that no one can ask more than what I have in my life. It was perfect. A happy family, best friends good education loads of love from every one.

What else can one ask from their life? Boys and love was out of my league since my entire education was in girls school and college. I hardly had time to think about any male. I always dreamt about the one who is going to love me. When I Married Madhunandhan I hoped one day we will fall in love. The way my in laws have been described by others before marriage made me feel happy and proud. I thought I was entering in to another loving family. They are rich in wealth and popular because my father in law is in politics. But life is not what we expect but it is what we can never imagine of.

As usual I was cleaning my bedroom tonight I am yet to drink my glass of milk it's boring to have same routine but my mother in law is very strict in matters. I heard a loud bang, might be the library room which is down the corridor from my bedroom. Today I decided to talk to Madhunandhan( Prakruthi's ex husband). May be he went to library. Let me check.

I saw my appearance in the mirror its entirely different from the day I was married. Today a lifeless lonely thin pale girl is staring at me. With a sigh I slowly started to walk towards the library, there were murmurs from inside. I stopped in my tracks when I heard my name. Now a days everything in this house make me feel suspicious.

When you know that something is terribly wrong and you can't pin point what it is,that's how I felt in times like this.There is a window to the right which was left open with a small gap. So I went and silently peeked. My heart beat is wild I feel it might come out of mouth.

In one corner Madhunandhan was leaning lazily on the couch as if he is least bothered. His father is very seriously staring in to space sitting beside my mother in law. The look on his face is like planning for something very evil. My mother in law, was talking something very seriously. I strained my ears to listen to what she was talking. Let me clearly explain the plan she said. What plan is she talking about I started to wonder. When everyone's eyes in the room was focused on her.

Everything around me changed and I am on my bed sleeping but I could sense that some one is coming in to the room. He is slowly approaching near the bed I am sleeping in, why is he in my bedroom. No I should protest this can't be true. What ever I heard earlier in the library was just a bad dream. It can even be my illusion. Because now a days many strange things are happening around me, nothing seems real. Like now my brother in law coming in to my bedroom when Madhunandhan is not in here. He started to lean on me slowly.

A very bad feeling is creeping in to me. I feel suffocated, breathing has become impossible. I am perspiring very badly. His hand is nearing to lift the sheet covering me. A ear blasting scream escaped my mouth.

Abhishek 's POV:

I was having a very long chat with my mom after a long time. I share all my feelings with my mom. So today I told her about every feeling I felt for Prakruthi. And guess what she started to tease me. So lover boy when are you going to introduce Prakruthi to me? She asked from a the other side of the line. Mom I am still not sure if I really love her so don't do that please. All of a sudden I heard a loud thud and ear shattering scream from Prakruthi's room.

I tossed my phone on the bed and was running towards Prakruthi's room. I remembered Mr.Rao's words gets nightmares at times and leaves her vulnerable.

She was sobbing in a corner of her room hands tightly hugging her knees and head on her knees. When I went to touch her she flinched and started to escape as if I am going to hurt her. My stomach clenched and heart dropped at the sight of her state.

The strong lady who threatened me to get lost if not will have to face consequences, the powerful aura I  saw the very first day I met is gone. Now all I see is a broken lost scared to death poor girl. Her long hair is a mess, eyes blood red.  My heart shattered in to pieces to her in such a state. Who ever has caused this to her will be dead if I ever come to know about them.

I slowly approached and sat next to her. I tried speaking, Apple it's me don't worry no one will harm you when I am with you. I ran my hand on her head  stroking her hair. Slowly took her in to my arms she clung to me tightly. Fear is clearly evident in those eyes. She is whimpering in my hands. She was trying to speak but i could hear only muffled sounds.

I slowly cupped her face in my hands and lifted to meet my eyes. What ever I heard next made my blood boil. Prakruthi said in between sobs they will kill me, in fact our whole family. I promised not to let their secret out but still he came to force me and steel my innocence. Please don't leave me they don't hesitate to kill me this time. As long as I am here for you no one can come near you I assured her.

After what felt like hours she finally slept cuddling me. I made her take pills otherwise it was impossible to bring her out of that trance.

By now one thing is clear that her whole family is in danger. Life threat is not a easy thing to digest. She is protecting her whole family holding a secret. What could the secret be? I won't let her face this all alone. I must discuss this issue with Mr. Rao.
