I wake up with a thud on the door. I groan as I force myself to get up from the bed. My eyes are shut. I walk to the door and open it. I open my eyes and I see the one person I didn't want to see. Jack.

"Where have you been? You didn't answer any of my calls!" Jack yells trying to push me so he can be in my room. I push him out. His voice is like rocks thrown at me. I shake my head.

"I didn't answer anyone's calls." I say as calm as I can. He opens his mouth to say something but I stick out a finger telling him to shut up. "We are done. Don't call me again, don't text me again, don't talk to me again. Okay? Thank you." I shut the door.

"Did you just?" My best friend's voice speaks.

"Yup." I reply and climb back to bed. I sleep.

"It was so amazing, you have no idea." I laugh before taking a sip from my strawberry milkshake. Jace laughs, too. The sun is shining through the windows turning Jace's eyes more blue than they already are.

"I'm so proud of you." The boy says touching my shoulder. His touch is soft and sends goosebumps all over my spine. I smile softly.

"Thanks." I speak before taking surprisingly a lot more sips from my drink than expected hurting my teeth from the cold. I wince closing my eyes. I hear Jace laugh. His laugh is a little loud and very cute. I open my eyes to look at him. His teeth are too white. There's no way he doesn't use whitening stripes or whatever. There are wrinkles around his eyes as he laughs. His eyes are closed. His eyelashes are longer than mine for sure. His nose is wrinkled. There is a vein on his neck threatening to pop. I don't notice that he stops laughing. I keep staring at him. Snapping back to reality I blush and look down at my drink.

"You lost weight." He says worryingly.

"I was depressed you know. I will gain it back." I simply answer. "I will gain it back, right?"

"Of course you will. You always obsess over your weight." Jace points out. His eyes are sad.

"Never told otherwise." I stir my milkshake with no particular reason but I did it anyway. "Everyone always points out how skinny I am, if I eat, what I eat. All those 'you should eat more'- " I mimic their voices which don't have a specific sound but I do it anyway. "Everyone has something to say about my weight. All. The. Time. So yes, Jace, im obsessing over my weight." Jace remains silent looking at me. My cheeks are so red, I can feel them. I always heat up when I'm frustrated, or uncomfortable.

"I will never point out your weight ever again. I promise." His eyes are big and his lips are in a line; he means every word he says.

"Thank you." I speak.

"Next." Jace blurts out before taking a sip from his vanilla milkshake. I just laugh.

"Just stop with the Ariana Grande references. This is getting so annoying!" I exclaim frustrated. It has been since the day the girl uploaded the song, Jace doesn't shut up about it. I groan.

"You're just jealous." He takes a sip from his drink but there's nothing left so he just inhales air. I chuckle.

"I am jealous of how she can buy all of her favorite things and how good of a singer she is and her clean face and how confident she is, I guess." I bite my forefinger's nail. "But I don't even like her music."

"Dude, stop lying! I heard you sing 7 rings so many times when you said that you hated that song." Jace smirks. My mouth is open.

"Well yeah, but like, the only song of her that I have in my playlist is the break up with your girlfriend one."

"Damn! Where you ever into someone who had a girlfriend?" Jace asks suddenly turning his tone into a serious one. I take some time to think. I can't think of anything.

"I have had a crush before but like I didn't make a move so he got a girlfriend and then I stopped liking him. It doesn't count, right?" Jace shakes his head. "Have you ever liked someone who was with someone else?" Jace doesn't even think twice.

"Yes." He simply says and smiles. His smile is weird but still makes me smile.

"Who? Do I know her?" I ask, my eyes wide.

"I'm not telling you." Jace crosses his arms over his chest.

And that's when I find myself wishing that he was talking about me and for God's sake, I can't stop.
