Solitary Light
A candle placed in a battle with darkness
I doubt can win the fight
A candle placed in a dark starless sky
May not make that much difference in the night
But this one candle, however solitary
Makes a difference but gets unnoticed
Until such time when its fire burns out
That we realize the light it shared
Unknowingly relieved for the comfort it gave
And anxiously we look for that solitary light that once blazed
But sadly shines no more
Written because I was moved and inspired by a documentary about a great man who was one of the victims of rampant extra judicial killings in my country. Forgive my emotional self. Blah. T_T
