This Awkward Affair
Hands are tied
Bodies are broken
No need to speak
Our bruises tell the whole thing
We hurt ourselves with words and lies
We scream until one cries
Caught up in a hurricane
Affection and violence collide
Pulls us back in a tight embrace
When we feel we’ve had enough
This love hate relationship
We struggle so much to keep
Like partners in a waltz we dance
But never noticed the music died
Our hands hurt from holding on
But we can’t ever let it go
Because the hurt is temporary
And pain we can endure
Losing this is another story
At the end of the day it’s still you and me
With us things may get bitter and painful
But without each other nothing is ever beautiful
