Magic ‘Shroom
It’s a purple sky and a big balloon
Swirls invade my vision
I sing a tuneless tune
I laugh but I forget why I laugh
I cry but forget why I cry
I’m with a bunch of happy people
I say hello and sing with my dead heroes
We lay underneath marshmallow stars
And suddenly I am alone
I ride in a giant rollercoaster
My subconscious takes over
It says sit back and enjoy the ride
I contemplate about my existence, my life
Questions left unasked
Thoughts ignored, boxed up
Laid out with such clarity
Never have I felt such confusion and serenity
The sky loses its color
The rainbow swirls die
My heroes sing one last song and leave
I am back where I’ve always been
My subconscious says goodbye
I laugh and then I cry
But this time I know why
