Calum's P.O.V:

It was the next day and I was strolling down the hall to lunch,trying to avoid anyone that would cause a scene.
I was trapped,I was trapping my self. To protect myself. If I don't interact with people I won't get hurt and I won't cause any discomfort to people for being so weird.
So many people tell me to be myself and that nothing's wrong with being weird and don't leave anyone change anything about your self....
I stand by that but it's so much harder then it looks some times....
So that's why I'm trying to avoid everyone but of course that's inhumanly impossible....

"Calum?!" I turned to see Jay.I squeezed my eyes shut tightly for a brief second and turned around to face him.

"Look listen I'm sorry for yesterday I didn't know you and Luke were...." He stopped moving his hand in a weird etc motion.
I shook my head.
"N-o eh we're n-ot" I said quietly smiling a little.
"But he kissed you?"
"On the c-hee-k and I-I pulled a-way"
I stuttered raising an eyebrow at him.

He put his hands to his face in embarrassment and exclaimed

"Oh My God I'm so stupid I am so sorry for assuming, that both of you were I'm sorry! And assuming that you even likes guys I'm sorry! Your straight aren't you omg!"

I left out a small chuckle covering my hand with my mouth I blushed. Feeling my lips clamp shut.Hasn't he heard that I'm gay from basically everyone in school? That's I'm useless? Mute?

He smiled.
"Don't do that I like your laugh". I blushed deeply nodding.

"Em........."
I have him a little wave going to turn away when he grabbed my hand gently.

"Wait would eh? Like to em,Go to the cinema this weekend?"

My mouth dropped.
I went to speak but nothing came out so I just nodded.
He blushed "Great" he exclaimed kissing me briefly on the right cheek then darting the other way.

I blushed deep red and continued on my way to meet Luke,Ashton and Michael.

I sat down beside them with a cheesy grin on my face.

"What got you so happy?" Ashton asked me.
"J-a-y, asked me o-ut"  I blushed settling my self beside Luke.

"He what?" Luke choked. Looking up with me with wide eyes. I nodded still smiling.

"Jays gay?" Michael exclaims quiet loudly whispering "Wish I'd have know that sooner.." I raised an eyebrow but said nothing.

"Good for you Cal" Ashton smiled friendly. Like still hasn't said anything since his choking incident.
So I leaned in close to his ear.
"You okay?" I whispered.
"Oh eh yeh..." He blushed giving me a wary look, my smile faltered as I starting picking at my lunch. I decided I wasn't  hungry.

"Hey guys look isn't it just our little friend Calum" I heard from behind me I tensed feeling a hand grip my shoulder.

Luke,Ash and Mike stood up.
"Leave him alone"
"Or what Clifford the big red dog?" They sniggered.

"Hmm...still don't talk well have to fix that but some other time we have to get to detention" Shane glared stomping of with his little posy.

"He's such a wuss" Ashton said sitting back down.
"A scary wuss" Michael commented.
I nodded.
"Look Cal,this will come out rude but I don't mean it too.Why don't you talk?"
Michael asked looking at me quizzically.My heart rate sped up.
"Michael..." Luke warned
"I'm just asking! Cal?"

All eyes were on me Luke gave me a 'you don't have to tell him' look.

I opened my mouth to speak, no sound came out it just left me miming.
I tried again nothing...
I began to panic more,my breathing became heavier,my eyes began to water and my hands became clammy.

I tried again, a little squeak came out.
"Cal you don't have to..." Michael said reaching for my hand across the table.

I shook my head vigorously. I can do this. Worthless,coward,gay,looser,mute...
Tears streamed down my face. I closed my digging my nails into my palm. Calm down calm down....

"Cal?" I shook my head again.
"An-anxiety" I choked out through my tears. I began to calm down slightly as Luke took my hand in his pulling me closer to him.

"Cal you really didn't have to I'm sorry, I was just curious I'm such a d**k"

I shook my head 'no'. I looked around embarrassed by my now tear stained face. I cowered slightly looking at Luke with apologetic eyes.

"Hey you have nothing to be sorry about you did nothing wrong! "

I gave him the are you fudging kidding me look "I made a s-cene emba-rassed you"

"No you did not! Don't be silly! You could drop your pants right here right now and dance while singing Justin Bieber and I'd still be there for you. Well singing Justin Bieber is a bit of a push..."

I slapped him lightly, smiling "Thanks".

"Okay you to love birds,Cals got his first date this weekend we can't have it look like your cheating on Jay with someone already" Ashton commented.

Michael sniggered as a blushing Jay came up behind me placing a note in my hand, smiling and walking away.

"Pho-ne n-um-be-r" I blushed.
Luke visually tensed beside me,he stood up.
"I'm eh going to the bathroom" he said quickly darting off.
I went to stand up to go after him when Michael stopped me.

"It's okay I'll get him, I'm finished you eat" he smiled running in Luke's direction.
"What was that about?" Ashton questioned.
I shrugged then began to pick at my lunch.
Luke and Michael never came back for the lunch and neither were in the following classes.

But I had seen them both at the end of the day. They were hugging. Luke seemed upset.

I wonder why?
