Calum's P.O.V :

*the next day*

I'm a mess in a mess I'm a mess...
Just shut up and hide it.
It's school you shouldn't be nervous you have friends and nice teachers don't be stupid...

I was strolling to lunch with my head down and hands tucked up in my sleeves.

I hit the lunch room the smell of food hitting me in a wave my stomach rumbled and I shook my head.

Not that I have an eating problem but what's the harm skipping a meal or two a day right?.......

I saw Michael sitting alone at the table so I joined him sitting along side him.

"Hey Cal" he smiled I nodded in return.
He looked fidgety and nervous.

"You okay?" I whispered.
"Ugh...yeh..."
I raised my eye brow looking him up and down.
He sighed looking down at his lap playing with his fingers.
"I like someone but they don't like me back..."

"Whys that?" I asked.

"He thinks I'm straight as a line"
I blinked a few times
"A-s-s a line?" I chuckled.

He swatted my arm I winced slightly pushing him off his chair.

He groaned loudly "Ugh Calum..."

"Am I interrupting something?" Luke said eyebrows raised.
We both looked up to see Luke and Ashton.

Michael blushed madly scuttling up off the floor.

"Aww don't be so embarrassed Mikey" Ashton cooed, making him go a brighter crimson colour then before.

Well Michaels not obvious at all.
I chuckled to myself nudging him.

He buried his face in his hands, muttering to himself.

His hand slipped down from his face and my heart jolted at what I saw

"Um Mikey can I t-t-alk t-o y-ou?"
I whispered.

He pulled his head from his hands wiping his face standing up and following me outside.

"D-d-o-n't cry" I said.

He snuggled wiping his face taking a breath.

"It's just...." He took another breath.
"It's hard to stand by and watch someone you care about so much not care for you as much as you care for them..." He sniffled.

"I-I-I k-now" I smiled sadly looking up at him.

"What do you mean you know? Do you like Luke or something?"

I gaped at him. How did he? Am I that obvious?

"I-I-I..." I stuttered.
"It's okay I won't tell if you don't, than an Calum, but now I want food"he winked.

I raised my eyebrows at how fast his demeanour changed over something as small as food.
I smiled none the less and followed him back in.

"Everything okay?" Like spoke up as we sat down.

"Yeh perfect" Michael smiled shoving pizza into his mouth.

Lunch rolled on filled with laughter and jokes.

Next I had a free period in which I just planned to listen to music on my own at the top of the class.
It's not too depressing in my view as its a regular occurrence for me.
I actually quiet like it.

Except for when we have a backwards teacher that won't leave me use my headphones which leaves me in a pool of darkness with the voices in my head saying everything and anything.

Today was one of those days.

I got my black pen out and began doodling along my arm.
Band symbols,YouTubers,lyrics and quotes.

"I believe in you" I wrote in plain writing surrounded by a 3D cloud.
I scoffed to myself.
Absolutely useless....
No one believes you'll do anything great.
Your parents are only there because their stuck with you.
Luke? Pity.

It's pretty sad when the only person that believes in you is a YouTuber,with millions of fans,that as a single human being doesn't know you exist.
But that's all I've got...
