I Let Her Go...

Chapter 3

Who would of thought, that I Alison Peterson, likes Matty McCibbin?! The next day, Matty told me that his whole schedule changed, which is a bummer because I won't get to see him. I continued to ignore the fact that I wouldn't see him.

*school phone rings*

The teacher announced my name loud and clear. "Go to the counselors office" said the teacher. I wonder what I'm getting called for?! I went to the counselors office, but before I went there I ran into Sarah. We chatted for a little about her party tonight but I had to go before they would think that I would be skipping. As I got there, they just told me that I was changing my whole entire schedule, therefore there's a possibility that I could have Matty again.

That's enough about school stuff, now it's time for Sarah's party. I arrived at Sarah's house, but none of my friends weren't there yet. The crowd slowly grows, but no sign of anyone. I start to eat candy to stop the anxiety. It's about an hour and no one came. My hyperness grows, then I see Jolene and Alex coming through the doors. After them was Matty. I didn't talk to them much not see them until I bumped into Matty.

I was super hyper and said this to Matty;
Our conversation:
Alison:I like you

Matty hesitated and said
I like you too

Alison:I know it was wrong... Wait what?
Matty:
I like you Alison, I liked you since middle school
Alison:So what does this mean?
Matty:Idk, but I don't want to change us being friends?!
Alison:So what do you want to do?
Matty:Idk what do you want to do?
Alison:It's up to you!
Matty:I guess... I guess we could try!
Alison:Really!?

Days later Matty becomes distant and there was no true commitment
Alison tries to hold Matty's hand but he moves it away

Alison:What's wrong?
Matty:Nothing
Alison:
Do you want to hold my hand?
Matty:Yes

I stick out my hand
Matty struggles

Alison:What is it?
Matty:Idk, before it seemed easier!

Alison tries to get closer,
Matty moves back

Alison:omg you're not ready to commit to me
Matty:yes I am
Alison: then hold my hand

Matty struggles again

Alison: you're not ready
Matty:I'm sorry

The next day, Alison finds ways to fix Mattys problem; she suggested to be open to someone he trusts which is robin.
Matty takes advice from robin and things go smoothly
Alison talks to her friends and realizes she developed feelings for Sam Johnson as she waits for Matty!
Alison and Sam almost went out until she found out he had a girlfriend. Alison went to Matty to discuss her problem and Matty was furious but not that long

Alison:I'm sorry I didn't tell you that I almost went out with Sam tonight
Matty: it's fine
Alison:you sure,cause it looked like you were broken!
Matty: I thought you would wait for me
Alison: you were doing fine without me in your love life
Matty: but your all I ever thought about along the way
Alison:then what do you want me to do, wait, cause if you say wait then I'll wait
Matty: I want you to wait
Alison: but that's not fair
Matty: then idk I just don't want you to be with someone else
Alison: then I'll try to wait
Matty: no I can't let you do that, I mean it's good but I can't hold you back
Alison: so I can date?
Matty: I mean I guess
Alison: thanks Matty
Matty: any time and make sure you give me a call everytime when things go wrong with your relationship!
Alison: will do!

Alison starts to date but Matty wasn't that much around. Robin suggested for him to draw and write his feelings down in a journal. One day Alison was in a rush and Matty passes by her but she bumps into him making him drop all his papers with torn pages of his journal. She helps him collect it but one page caught her eye, it was a drawing of her!

Alison: Is this me?
Matty: I told you, you're all that i ever thought of!

Alison looks at the back of the page and read what it said;
"You got that smile of an angel. You're my dream and there's not a thing that I wouldn't change. I'll give everything up for you. I'll always be there when you're insecure, let you know that you have my heart. One day when the sky is falling, I'll be standing right next to you. And nothing will ever come between us cause I'll be right there! If you have my heart, you'll make my life complete. If you were mine and have a child with your eyes on little me, I'll be standing right next to you. Everything I have is yours, you'll never go cold or hungry because I'll be right next to you. One day I'll... you'll know...you'll know how I truly feel"

Alison: Did you write this?
Matty: Yes
Alison: I don't know what to say!
Matty: don't say anything
Alison: do you still have feelings for me?
Matty: yy... I got to go

Matty's p.o.v
It's been days since I've seen or talked to her. What am I suppose to do? I went to Robin for advice, but he insisted me to talk to her! How on earth am I suppose to do that? When should I tell her? Would it be late for me to tell her how I feel? I should tell her tonight...

*Back to Alison's p.o.v.*

Wow, it's been a while since I've seen Matty, anyways I want to have a sleep over. I invited most of my "girl" friends over. It was night and they all arrive. We did what ordinary sleepovers done, but the there was someone knocking on the door. I went to check and as i opened it, I saw familiar shoes. It was Matty... I gasped and didn't know what to do, I was paralyzed...

Our conversation:
Alison: Matty, what are you doing here?

He looks in...

Matty: is it a bad time?

I look back and everyone starts to squeal!!!

Alison: sure, just let me put on shoes!

Kennedy comes in saying

Kennedy: here, here use my slippers!
Alison: okay?

We walked out and started to walk a way, further from my house. We started to chat.

Our conversation:
Matty: so our incident earlier?
Alison: I'm sorry about that, I was in a rush!
Matty: but that's not what I want to talk about?
Alison: oh, so what do you want to talk about?
Matty: um.. Us... What we are? What we're doing?
Alison: I don't know what we are!
Matty: oh, well I just wanted to tell you that, I do still like you and I just wanted to tell you? Do... Do you still like me?
Alison: I think I still do!
Matty: you do... Well freshman prom is coming up will you go to prom with me?
Alison: yes

He kisses my cheek with a gentle touch leaving with butterflies in my stomach! When I walked into my house I saw all the girls squealing. I go to bed with a smile on my face!!!
