I Let Her Go...

Chapter 6

Alison's p.o.v

I can't believe that just happened! I kissed Matty, well technically it was on his cheek but it's still a kiss. What does this mean? What do I do? I wish I had the right words to express how I feel right now! I think it's best to go to sleep and see what happens tomorrow.

7:30 am
Oh shoot I'm late for school. I grabbed all my things and shoved it into my duffle bag and headed out. As soon as I got to school, everyone started staring. The sun was in my eyes but then I saw a tall figure walking towards me, which it was Matty. I wasn't looking my bestest, but I really hope Matty doesn't bring up the kiss. "Hey you" Matty says awkwardly. I responded with a smile and started to walk. He began walking with me in a awkward silence and then he brought it up.

"So last night?" He asks softly.

"Uh... Yeah what about it?" I replied hesitantly.

"Did it mean anything to you, like was there sparks, did you feel anything?" He asked as he wondered.

"Um..." (Gets caught off by Kennedy)
"Girl, we need to talk about something that you didn't tell me!" She suggested.

With the agony I had, I was gratefully thanked that someone interrupted that whole fiasco! As she pulled me aside, she then tells me what was going on.

Our conversation:
K: why didn't you tell me that you had a thing for you know who?
A: a thing? For who?
K: you know? (Looks towards her left)
A: how did you know? Wait how did you find out?
K: does it matter? When were you going to tell me!
A: it was just a phase, the only person I told was... I am so going to get him!
K: who?
A: the one who told you!
K: I thought you liked him?
A: wait... Who told you?
K: the devil himself!
A:(looks at Sam) but how would he know when I only told Robin?!
K: I'm not... Wait you told Robin instead of me, not that's uncool!
A: I'm sorry, Robin and I always tell each other everything, so yeah!
K: oh, but stop dodging my question! When did you.... (Bell rings) ugh we're not done talking!
A: woo... I thought today wasn't my day!!!

In my relief, I did a victory dance in my mind but now I got to see Robin and talk about how Sam knowing about my phase! I went to second period and he wasn't there, where is he now? When I took a seat in the back of the classroom, Kennedy came over and brought up the whole Sam thing.

30 minutes Kennedy and I were talking about it, but then someone started to knock on the door. We didn't care until I heard my name " um can I have a few words with Alison please... Outside?" As I turned it was Sam. Kennedy started to blush and chanted me on. I gave him a curios look and asked what was going on as I went through the door jam.

He pulled me to the side and made me face towards the door. As he began, everyone started to mount at the doors.
" woo... I don't know where to start, but I do want to thank you for being there when I needed a friend! You were there every step of the way and there's no words that could explain my gratitude!" As he baffles, I see Matty coming our way! All his words and all the attention was going towards me, the pressure, I don't know what to do! Sam started to get worried when I was dozing off, then all I heard was "soo" I looked at him with confusion and replied with what. He repeated his question "will you be my girlfriend?" My mouth dropped and Matty just walked into our conversation. I looked at him and everyone, the pressure got to me, so I ran off. Matty looked confused, when I passed him in tears. He saw Sam trying to come after me but stopped him and came after me instead.

Matty caught up to me before I went into the girls bathroom. He grabbed my wrist and was freaking out. " what happened back there?" He asked confused.

"I really don't want to talk about it!" I started to sob.

"Why not? You can tell me what's bothering you!" He continued to ask.

I looked at him with my eyes pouring out in tears, I didn't say anything but all I did was run into his arms. I mumbled into his chest " it's girl things" he held me tighter and just let me cry it out.

When he brought me back to class, he was looking for Sam but he was nowhere to be found! Matty's arm was around me when we got back to class, before left he asked if I was okay to be here. I nodded and went to Kennedy! He gave me his jacket and left!

Matty's p.o.v
I was coming from my counselor hoping I could change a few things. On my way back to class, I was running into pretty interesting stuff. I found $10 on the ground, a three cute girls said hi to me and then I saw Alison outside with Sam. I wondered what the deal was with them.

I got closer to the point where I could hear them, Alison looked at me in surprise and then she looked back at him! I could she was going into her panic attack mode, until I heard those 5 words I didn't want to hear! She looked at me one more time and then ran off, I pretended I didn't hear what i really didn't want to hear and went after her.

When I stopped Sam from going after her, I looked around carefully. She was almost at the entrance of the girls bathroom but luckily I caught her in time. She was crying more than she ever did. I asked her what happened showing that I didn't know, but then she ran into my arms and I could feel that she was relieved. When she told me it was girl stuff, I knew it was complicated for her to explain, so I held her tighter!

I walked her back to her class hoping to see Sam still there but as we got there, he was out of plain sight! Before I could leave I made sure Alison was okay, and since I'm her best friend I knew she wasn't so I left her with my jacket for comfort!
