It was a usual day for Camila ( or so she thought)she woke up dreading the thought of school. But she knew that she had to go so she got up and got ready.

She sighs while walking into the bathroom and turning on the shower, she undresses and hops in.

The shower is place that Camila's  likes to think.

"Have a great day sweetie" my mum says waving and I give her a small smile before jumping out of the car and heading into school.

I walk in a few people stare and others just glance at me and go back to what they are doing , around school everyone just thinks I'm a bitch , they never take the time to get to know me so they assume things.

Everyday in this shitty hell hole I meet Cara and josh at a small table out back.

"Hey Camila " josh greets me and I smile in return "hey",Cara looks up and waves with a smile.

I met Cara and josh at the start of this year , they where the only two that really gave me a chance. They're funny as hell and really nice.

I take a seat and Josh starts talking about some cute girl he met, "Damn tho you should see her , she's sexy as fuck" he grins.
I roll my eyes playfully, "yo but don't you get any ideas Camila" he smirks I just shake my head.

Yeah I'm gay but Cara and Josh are the only two that know.  (Also my best friend Dinah who I haven't seen in 6 months)

"So what's her name?" Cara asks "Normani" he says and smiles "oh and Mila she has a super cute friend Lauren " he winks. "Cool" I say and take a sip of my water.

He rolls his eyes "You should start seeing people Mila", "I never find anyone interesting enough"I say sighing."You never give anyone a chance" Josh states,"I can read people like books , and I can tell if they are interesting or not" I reply.

He sighs and gives up , he knows that pushing me won't help anything.

"Ahhh" I hear Josh say and I look up, "that's her" he points towards a table that's accompanied by 3 girls. "Which one" Cara smirks, "the darker skinned one is Normani" he grins. "And Mila check out Lauren the one with a leather jacket on" he says and I look up , I'm met by the most beautiful emerald orbs staring at me. She quickly looks away when she notices me , I smile and look down.

"I knew it" Josh jumps up and hugs me. "Get off" I groan and he hugs me tighter , "She's 'interesting' isn't she" he giggles. "Josh sometimes I think you are a girl" I say shaking my head.

"Well I hang around you two all day" he say pointing to me and Cara. "Even Camila acts more like a boy then you" Cara said laughing and I roll my eyes. "Yeah whatever I'm going to see mani, bye" Josh said and walked over to where the girls were sitting.

School finally came to an end and Camila walked the now crowded halls and headed for the car park to meet Cara and Josh.

Camila's pov
"Mila can I catch a ride with you?" Josh asks. "Didn't drive today" I answer and he groans "Cara?" He looks up at Cara and smiles she rolls her eyes "fine".

"Anyways where's your car idiot" I joke , "I popped the tire" he laughs. "Dumbass" I say and Cara laughs, "well guys I'm going see you tomorrow I guess" I wave and head off.

My usually journey home was I walked out off the carpark and headed to the forest that was a few lonely streets behind the school.I take a small dirt track that leads to a cliff looking down at the ocean, it usually takes around 10minutes from the start of the forest to the cliff. I sit here in the afternoons and just think about life.

I pull out a pack if cigarettes that I keep in my bag, I don't smoke much but the last few moths I have been. Ever since Dinah left town I feel like shit , like I don't belong here. Even though I have Cara and Josh which I'm thankful for , I still miss Dinah because she was my best friend for 15 years.

I reach for the pack of cigarettes and pull one out, I grab my lighter and light it. The first breath I blew out seemed to calm me down and i lay back and close my eyes , every now and then I'd breathe in smoke and breathe out.

After a few minutes of laying here I felt a shadow form over my face, my eyes instantly shot open and I was met with green orbs looking down at me. She smiled at me and I returned a small smile, she didn't say anything but instead she sat down next to me. I thought to myself, how did she find me?.

She reached over and pulled the cigarette out of my hand and places it between her lips , a puff of smoke escaped her lips and she handed it back.

If someone came and decided to take my cigarette I would have pushed them of the cliff , like who the fuck do they think they are ? But for some reason Lauren was already different.

"It's beautiful" Lauren finally spoke up , "you know the view" she added. I nodded in response and kept my stare out at the water. "So have a name mystery girl?" She asked.

"Camila" I replied and I saw a smile tug at her lips , "nice name, I'm Lauren" she stated. "I know" I say focusing back on the water out ahead. She raised an eyebrow "how do you know my name?".

"Well my friend has the a major fucking crush on you're friend and he told me about you" I say bringing the cigarette back up to my lips and puffing out a cloud of smoke.

She nods and this time actually asks for my cigarette, I pass it to her and she blows out another puff. "You seem like a natural" I say looking at her, "mmh bad habits at a young age .. People always told me smoking kills , but well everybody will die one day" she replies.

I didn't question her but instead I lay back down and close my eyes listening the calming sound of the ocean.
