Meredith tried to calm herself, but only made herself more terrified as her brain started jumping to conclusions. What if Diana really was dead? What if that man had killed her? What if she was next on his kill list? It felt like an hour until Meredith heard staggering footsteps on the trail. It was the man alright, and this time, Meredith was able to get a better look at the man through the leaves. He looked as if he were 7 feet tall, with inhuman proportions. Meredith was incredibly relieved that he walked right past her. For safety reasons, Meredith waited until she was absolutely sure that the man was far away.
