Marilyn's P.O.V.
I couldn't move, like at all. I looked at all of their faces, Austin was standing there, smirking at me, Alan looked confused, Phil was buried in his phone, Tino was talking with my dads assistant, and my dad was cracking up. I dreaded looking at Shayley, I didn't want to know how bad I was by seeing the look on his face. They all just stood there watching me, and I didn't know what to do, so I tried to make it less awkward and say something. "Noon already," I said, and laughed nervously.
"Band Bitch," my dad said, referring to me. "Come meet the band," he said, trying to hold back laughter.
I just looked down and walked out of the booth, embarrassed. I just belted the lyrics to one of their songs right in front of them; why didn't anyone turn the mic off? I stepped out of the booth to come face to face with none other than Alan Ashby, I felt my knees go weak; how was I going to be able to handle meeting Austin and Shay?
"Hiii," he said, cheerfully. "I'm Alan. I play guitar." He stuck his hand out at me, and I grabbed it, shaking his hand.
"What's up? I'm Phil, I do that, too." He was referring to guitar, and he also shook my hand.
"I'm Tino," he said and stuck his hand out at me.
"And what do you play, Tino," I laughed, even though I already knew.
"I bang on shit," he said, earning a light laugh from me. Then I was in front of Austin, and shit was he tall; I had to be more than a foot shorter than him.
"I'm Austin," he smiled. "I scream at people." I laughed and shook his hand. "You're a fan," he asked. I thought it over for a few seconds; there were so many ways I could answer this question. I could totally fangirl, I could be all like "OH MY GOD YES, YOUR BAND SAVED ME, LET ME TELL YOU THIS STORY" or I could be calm, act like I meet people like him all the time.
"I am," I said, lightly and smiled.
"Well," he started, "you have a lovely voice."
"Oh," I said, taken off guard. "Thank you so much." I was blushing really badly, I could feel it.
Then I was face to face with Shay, and I thought I was going to pass out. I was standing in front of the man I looked up to, the man I had fallen in love with, the fangirl kind of falling in love. I had only dreamed of meeting him, and here he was.. finally; and he was absolutely gorgeous.
"Shayley," he said simply. "I do clean vocals and play bass." He was smiling at me. "And Austin's right. You have a beautiful voice."
And in that moment, I wanted to scream, I wanted to jump in his arms and just makeout with his face. I didn't, though, of course. "Thank you so much," I said, my face turning even redder. "That means so much coming from you guys." I shook his hand and just started into his eyes. Then I remembered I hadn't introduced myself yet. "Uhm, I'm Marilyn, I'm the uh-"
"The Band Bitch," my dad chimed in. "At least that's what I like to call her. You should see some of these bands bark orders at her; and she still does it with a smile on her face," he said and walked back to the table.
"So, how old are you," Alan asked.
"I just turned eighteen," I stated, and I could swear I saw Shayley's face perk up, at least I hope it actually happened.
"Awww," Austin said. "You're just a baby!!"
"Hey," I laughed. "I.... am an adult," I said, matter-of-factly, in a joking manner.
