Cute but annoying...!

"Are you okay?" he asked and smiled kindly.

"Wha- What the- What? Oh, yeah." I pushed myself out of his arms and shook my head. I tried to get those images out of my head but they drilled themselves in and I couldn't stop thinking about the girl and the boy and why they were running and what these things were.

I combed my banks back because I was suddenly embarrassed about what I might've done while I was staring at him and that he catched me.

"Thank you by the way.... for catching me. I don't want to get bruised up before school." I laughed nervously and took a step back.

Ro and the guy looked at me weirdly and both tilted their head a little in question.

"What?" I asked looking back and forth between the two boys.

"You've never, ever fell before." Ro said in disbelief. As weird as that might sound, it's true. On my first time on my bike I didn't fall. My first steps were steady and I never fell. On a rocky road, driving full speed on my roller-blades I never fell. As far back as I can think and as my parents have ever told me I have never kissed the ground.

"So? Everybody falls someday, sometime." I said, not really believing myself but I didn't want to make a fool out of myself in front of him.

"Right. And I'm Magnus Bane." he shot back. MAgnus Bane was a character out of "The city of Bones" series, some amazing books we both love, and he always dressed up really crazy with glitter and neon clothes. It's really ironic, which was probably Ro's point, because he was the most normal I could think about.

"What you're gay?" I asked in mocking shock.

"You know what I mean. Come on, Mel, everybody has at least fallen when they first walked or got on their bike, but you?" he said raising his eyebrows.

"Whatever. Let's go before we're gonna miss the bus."

"That bus?" the guy asked pointing to the yellow high school bus that just drove by. To be honest in our argument I had totally forgotten he was there.

"What? Ugh, dang it!" I exclaimed throwing my backpack on the floor. The boy quietly laughed.

"What? You think me having the worst day of my life is funny?" I turned around to face him, truly mad.

"Well, it can't be the worst day of your life." he said in a calm voice that somehow made me even more angry.

"Oh? And how so?" I said with poison dripping from my words.

"Careful there. She can be feisty." Ro said quietly but I could still hear him.

"Oh, be quiet." I didn't turn around but kept my eyes on the boy.

"You met me." he said simply not paying attention to Ro.

"Self absorbed much?" his eyebrows shot up in surprise and I turned around in triumph, picked up my backpack, and walked to the next restaurant. I didn't even care if either one of the boys were following me, I just walked straight in. The bell rang as I opened the door and when the bell ringed to times behind me I knew without even making sure it's them, I just knew.

Sorry I didn't get to write or publish another chapter and I was a little occupied by my other story. I hope you liked it, though, and if not then please tell me what I could improve. It would really help me a lot, thanks!!!!
