Never Lose Her, I'm Afraid. Better think of Something Good to Say.

"I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready! Are you ready!? I'm ready!" Jaime yelled, over and over as he jumped up and down, getting himself ready apparently.

They were about to go out and play their show tonight but Vic said that he had a surprise for me before they went out. Something to keep me busy while they played.

"SHUT UP, WE KNOW YOU'RE READY!" Tony yelled at him as he tuned his guitar and Jaime ignored him completely, jumping away to somewhere else.

"Melody!" Vic's voice called from around the corner. "Coming," I called, following his voice and hoping I wouldn't get lost somehow since I've never been to this place before and have no idea where everything is. Once I approached him, I saw that he was talking with another man that looked extremely familiar......

"Melody, there you are," he greeted, reaching his hand out and gently grasping mine, pulling me to him, and that's when my eyes adjusted to that familiar face across from me. I couldn't believe it, and I was totally speechless. "Kellin, this is Melody. Melody, I'm assuming you know who Kellin Quinn is." He chuckled seeing my face and I finally snapped out of it and shook Kellin's outstretched hand that was ready to shake mine; his other hand being occupied by a drink. There were a lot of people here tonight and the place was a lot more like a nice hang out with a bar and even a lounge type area. I felt really comfortable as long as I was with at least one of the guys.

After a firm handshake, I quickly pulled my hand away, feeling uncomfortable about any possible exposure of my wrists.
"Hi, Melody. Nice to meet you," he said, ignoring my hesitancy.
"Hello," I said quietly, feeling Vic's grip on my hand tighten in a comforting way.
"Kellin's going to be watching from backstage until he comes out for the last song which of course will be King For a Day, and he was wondering if it be fine that he sits backstage with you," Vic suggested and I didn't have to think twice about it as I nodded my head rapidly. "That would be amazing," I said, smiling a real smile and I swear I could practically feel the excitement that just radiated off of Vic as he smiled too. "Cool! I can't wait," Kellin said, waving as he walked off to Katelynne and wrapped an arm around her waist as they shuffled off to socialize with everyone else there. I always loved seeing them together as a couple and I found myself wanting a relationship as beautiful as theirs, but I knew that wasn't for me.
I've done this to myself; limited my life of pleasures the normal human being should desire in life. It's all me and my tendencies..

"Come on, Melody. I wanna take you somewhere real quick before the show," Vic said, pulling me from my thoughts and I nodded, allowing him to grip my hand and pull me away with him as he smiled.

We passed up Tony as we left to wherever he was taking me, and he nodded discreetly, reminding me of our talk earlier and I tried my best to let that sink in. Tony was right so I need to apply that aspect to my life and really think hard on those details. If I did anything as crazy as the other night and actually succeeded, he would blame himself and I might end up being the cause of the ruin of Pierce The Veil. It would be all my fault. Dead or alive. My. Fault. And that's what scares me because sometimes those voices make me crave it yet I'm utterly fearful at the same time. My head is so messed up....
Maybe it's from being so alone for so long, but I was kind of like this before......I don't know. I need to stop dwelling on this because Vic wouldn't want that. He just wants me to be happy and I can tell he tries with all his power to make that possible. He really cares.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked curiously, and he looked back at me with a smirk. "You'll see," he answered, looking forward again as he continued to walk us further from everyone else. I wondered if this would be interfering with the fact that they were about to go out and play a show, but he seemed to be taking his time so maybe they had some extra time to kill.
