Chapter 9

Amy's POV
Okay Mason didn't drive very far until we pulled in a place I did not recognize
"What is this?" I asked confused
"Your favorite animal is a horse right?" He asked smiling
"Yes!" I answered excited
"Well, Amy, wanna go horseback riding?" He said and my eyes went wide
"YES!" I said all excited and he started laughing and climbed out of his car and came and opened my car for me and I got out and we both walking towards the horses and there was only one left
"I'm sorry, do you mind to ride holding on to me?" He asked
"No way, ether way I will still be riding on a horse" I said laughing and he chuckled at it too, so he went and step on the ladder to get on the horse and he stuck his hand out to lift me on there, so we were both on the horse
"Alright make sure to hold on" he said and I just put my arms around to him to hold on to him and the horse started to take off, and we went down a trail, which with it being dark, the stars are really pretty to look around, and after a while I just laid my head on his back and was still enjoying the scenery, and then he all of the sudden stops the horse "Whoa there" he said to the horse while it stop and then he got off and took his hand out to help me down "why are we stopping here?" I asked him confuse "Oh just give the horse a break" he said giving it some sugar cubes and was petting it "you know a lot about horses don't you?" I asked and he just laugh "I actually use to live on a ranch, I have my own horse back in Texas, his name is Cisco" he said which caught me by surprise I didn't realize of how country he was until tonight "So can we sit down over there?" He said pointing at a hill type thing where you can see the stars and I just nodded and we went and sit down and was staring at them "Its so beautiful" I said just looking at them and he just nodded "Definitely" with a smile
"So Amy" he said
"Yes Mason?" I asked
"I got you something" he said giving me a box
"Mason you didn't have to get me anything" I said in surprise
"Just open it!" He demanded so as he said I opened the box and it revealed the belt buckle that we saw at the old country store that I really wanted
"Mason...you didnt have too" I said in surprise just staring at it
"Amy, when I first moved here, I thought it was going be tough, I missed it in Texas even tho it would be bad for me to go back, I needed change, but then I met you, and you just always showed faith no matter how you did it, you made it easier, you changed me, and this is my way of saying thank you" he said staring at me and I was just smiling I just hugged him "I love it, thank you so much" I said as I felt hug me tighter and you heard the horse makes his noise
"Alright well I think buttercup here is ready" Mason said
"is that even his name?" I said laughing
"I dont know, but that's what I'm calling him" he said laughing and two people came up which were two girls
"Haha hey how can that short girl make it up that horse?" One girl said referring to me
"Yeah she looks like she could pass as a midget" the other said and they both kept laughing and I look at Mason and he was giving me sympathic look and I couldn't take it, my insecurities came back for being short and I just took off and ran
Mason's POV
Amy took off to who know where but I am really aggravated with those two girls who was laughing at her
"You guys must think you're real cool now right?" I said angry
"We was just telling the truth" one of them said
"What? Pointing out her flaws that she already knows? You guys are pathetic!" I said and took off running to find Amy, but I found Amy's flower crown that she was wearing it must of fell off, so I kept looking for her and I heard some sobbs, and I kept following it until I found Amy, sitting there crying
"Amy" I said and she cut me off
"Why are you on this date with me?" She asked crying
"I" I tried to answer but she cut me off again
"I'm just a 4'10 little freak" she added still crying
"Stop" I said and it didn't work
"Its already bad enough from being with a family tall people" she said crying still
"Amy stop" I said and she was walking towards me
"So if you don't like me go ahead and tell me now" she said and got closer to me and at the point I cupped her face and just pressed my lips against hers and I can tell it caught her by surprised and then she eased up as our lips moved in sync and then she pulled away
Amy's POV
I am in shocked, I just had my first kiss and I just looked at him and stares into his blue eyes
"What was that for?" I asked with my eyes still puffy and red
"Amy you're beautiful, sweet, and everything, you're so compassionate, that's why I am date with you okay!" He said wiping my tears off my face
"Please don't talk about yourself like that again okay?" He said staring at me and I couldn't help but smile at him and I just pressed my lips against his and pulled away
"Thank you so much" I said smiling at him and he just smiled back
"Come on its getting late I need to take you home" he said intervening his hand with mine and we walked back to the horse and he climbed back on it and he stuck his hand out to help me up
"I'm sorry, you probably think I'm dramatic" I said to him and he just looked at me
"No not at all" he said smiling and pulled something out of his pocket which was my flower crown
"I think you're a angel" he said putting my crown on me and turn around and the horse started walking towards the horse barn to go home and I had my arms wrapped around him and had my head on his back and I have to say
This night was magical
