-You Are (Not) Okay-

   Bright electric pink eyes snap open. Espers pale skin is drenched in cold sweat, lips trembling whispering words of despair. He clutches his chest the fear taking hold of his breath, keeping it at the bottom of his lungs out of his reach.
His eyes dim as he realizes he's in his room, alone, safe for the most part. He pulls the blankets off himself, rubbing the salt from his face. Pastel hologram screens open before the tracer as he sinks into his desk chair. He picks up the mug from last night, he had left there. Cold cocoa stains the bottom, a layer of milk skin covering its surface. Add grimaces as he takes a sip, it's insanely over sweetened, but he takes another gulp. Esper stares into the mug, lost in thought.
It was strange, his nightmares used to play out the same dreadful and tragic day with minor changes and details, but now, they were completely different.

The crimson Avenger's body was smashed in, skull broken plasma and blood covered the white marble floor. She was laughing, laughing, mocking. Its poisonous tone echoing in the Espers mind. Elesis got up from the floor and limps behind the esper, to ease her thin arms around his body like the thread of a spiders web. fingers crawling up to his neck, turning his head around kissing him, mouth full of salt she begins to fall back to the ground. Esper tried and failed to catch her. He kneels on the red floor arms half holding the knight. the smell of hard iron and death filling his lungs as he had woke.

Add shudders and swallows the last bit of not so hot chocolate. He gets up suddenly from his desk, walking to the door with purpose, but once he reaches it he hesitates. He shakes his head and turns away but then it had gotten the better of him and Esper slips into the dim hall, tip toeing his way to Elesis's room. The door is locked.
Quietly space and time is shattered next to the avengers bed, esper slips thru it.
Seeing the sleeping peaceful Knight alive and well makes Add slightly laugh at his own paranoia. It's too dark for Esper to see elesis is waking up, he almost has a heart attack when her flat cold voice rings out in the cool morning air.
"What are you doing here?" she rubs her eyes, esper looks away thinking of a lie quickly, but he decides against it.
"I had a nightmare...I wanted to make sure it wasn't the reality " Add says as Avenger moves from the bed to stand before him. She takes his hand in her freezing one.
"You okay now?" Squeezing his hand as she asks the question lifelessly. Esper says nothing but pulls her behind him as he walks back to his room. He sits on his bed and the Knight follows.
"I'll spend the night with you then" Elesis mumbles as they move under the covers, to lay down facing one another.
"Good night"
"Good night"
"Sleep well"
"I'll do my best"
