-EBONY BLOOD-

  Before Esper knows what's happened the pain hits him. For a second he thinks he might die, but the seconds grow longer. He feels his knees buckle as every nerve in his body screams. He can't breathe, his eyes wide, stinging and watering, Esper's choking on the agony. He cant think, he can hardly move, except for small twitching and slight shaking.
Add can barely hear the Avengers voice, it's muffled by the pounding of his own blood. The time tracer sees the knights mouth move but the words make no sense, only the sound of panic is audible. He sees her arms reaching for him, holding him, but he can't feel them there. Esper can only feel pain. Lava in his veins, its like he's going to puke up his insides. Everything is broken, everything shattered. His mind is numb with electric fuzz forcing darkness into his eyes making him fall limp in elesis' arms.

The light is harsh but not blinding, as it meets adds eyes. He sits up quickly,but freezes half way when the pain hits him. whimpering  he slumps back into the white and blood stained blankets. Now the blackness comes yet again, but this time its pouring out of his mouth. His black blood sticking to everything. Its covering his hands, arms, legs, the bed, Add feels it soaking into the sheets. Esper hurriedly escapes the black and red marked bed, slumping onto the floor, both hands over his mouth still trying to stop the blood from staining the cold lab floor. Add hears someone running from the other side of the room. Elesis sits down next to him, handing him tissues. Esper takes them and focuses on his breathing trying to steady it.
"What happened" Avenger almost whispers.
He is quiet for some time.
"This used to happen a lot...there must have been a miscalculation...but i don't get it, i thought..." He trails off. Avengers thin arms wined there way carefully around espers chest, trying to comfort him. She feels warm liquid on her neck, pulling away her heart breaks a little. Add is crying, biting his bottom lip, little dark red buds pooling up around his teeth. Elesis leans closer to him holding his face gently. she coos words into his ear, running her face down the edge of his jaw. She kisses his eyes, softly licks away the salt and pain.
But then there's a sickening cough and the sound of blood hitting the floor. Espers hands fly back to his mouth, covering it with the already useless tissues. Add looks down at the avenger, covered in his dark almost black blood. He is filled with shame and disgust for himself. He groans and shifts himself away from her, as another wave of inky liquid pours from his throat. The pain in his bones is gone now, his ribs are back intact but the blackness won't stop. Esper can feel the stomach acid eating away at his insides.
Elesis is standing up quickly, pulling esper with her. Though the time traveler is heavier than her she still manages to drag him out of the room into the dim hall, leaving a trail of pitch blackness in their wake. She heaves him into the bathroom guiding him to the cold bathtub. The hot water pours over esper as Elesis tries to take off the thick bodysuit but gives up quickly.
The blood is washed away from Adds form, tingeing the water a gray ruby shade. Elesis puts a towel over Espers head, he reaches up and wipes the darkness away from his chest and mouth, though it's almost eminently replaced by more blood. Elesis sits down on the other side of the bath, resting her head on the cold white edge. She creeps her hand into the hot water to find espers. She holds it gingerly, noticing the tracer is still wincing now and again, but the blood is slowly stopping, now only spider silk from his lips.
Avenger shifts her arm around her head hiding her face, after the bath is more than halfway full she quietly asks:
"You're going to be okay right?" she keeps her tone flat and head down.
Espers laugh echoes softly in the small room. He gives her hand a little squeeze.
"I've been thru worse, haven't I ?" His voice is hoarse but clear.
The avenger nods slightly, still not making eye contact. Esper reaches over and pats her head with his damp hand.
"You can leave now, i can handle it from here" Add states, but Elesis doesn't move.
"I made a promise to stay with you didn't i?" this time the crimson avengers voice is soft but strong, the way Add remembered she used to talk back in her noble days.
But times were different after all. And she stayed with him till the bathwater was cold.
