-Phantom Shade-

Esper did not expect the crimson Avenger to be gone from the bed when he opens his eyes. But as soon as he realizes this he sits up quickly, the smallest bit of fear in his heart. the knight would always sleep long hours to make up for all the times she didn't, so having her up out of bed so early was unheard of by the time tracer. The bedroom is covered in pale morning light, not yet blown out by the sunrise. Add pulls on his long sleeved jacket in a slight panic, he stares around the small lab as he heads to the door. His heart sinks deeper into his stomach when he takes note that the Crimson Avengers deadly claymore is missing from its usual spot in the corner. Add rushes down the hall, sweeps thru the kitchen, checks the bathroom, and even looks in a few closets. He swallows, keeping the quiver out of his voice as he commands

"Dynamo: Scan everything within a 2 mile radius, locate the crimson avenger." as Esper says this he walks out of the house, paranoia in his step. He spins around, eyes searching, they freeze when he sees it.

The blood.

The smell chokes him for a second, cutting his lungs, but the next his feet are running down the small path of scarlet. What he finds at the end isn't pretty, but it's her. Add cancels the dynamo command and they return to normal functions. He kneels down to the knight, reaching out slowly to find her hand, but then he pulls it away, for laughter is escaping the dark knights lips, her face turned away from him. Esper moves away realizing what's going on. The morning air drops 10 degrees.

"It's been some time hasn't it? Shade." Add smiles darkly. The black aura around the Avenger seems to have glazed her voice in even more ice than usual. She only laughs as she turns to face the Esper now, her eyes wide, burning with black hate and lust, her whole body is draped in a shadow. Suddenly Elesis hands are around his neck, there freezing, covered in blood. Add only stares into those dead eyes, making no effort to remove the hands of his lover from his neck, there tightening, add still doesn't make an action. Seconds pass and his lungs begin to scream as the knights fingers continue to tremble with bloodlust.
Suddenly she pulls her hands back in horror, Add gasps and coughs. He glances up at Elesis, tears are streaming down her face, her amber eyes wide, full of dread, realizing what she's done. She starts sobbing, her whales hanging in the air heavy. Add breathes in and out deeply as he shuffles himself near her again, her body is shaking with despair. Esper pulls her into his chest, holding her tightly. Her shoulders are sticky with demons blood.
"Its okay, it's okay you couldn't control it" Add coos as Elesis mumbles a million apologies
Add's lips find hers, she stops crying. He reaches up to hold her cheek, wiping away the stray tears with his thumb. When they pull away Elesis is still looking down in guilt. Esper moves his hand from her cheek to chin, lifting it up, meeting her eyes with his.
"Loving you means I have to love both sides, I have no problem with that. So please don't cry. We'll be fine"
"...We'll be fine" Elesis echoes back softly
