Roses have thorns,
To prick you with
Roses have petals,
To make you feel good about appearances
Roses have smell,
To remind you that everything has a specific scent
Roses have life,
To remember the little things for you
Roses need leaves,
To hide the thorns
Roses need a stem,
To grow tall even when they are forced to stay small
Roses need smell,
To protect animals from preditors
Roses need water,
To stay alive
