Beauty

I have eyes but I do not see

If I was blind, I must have a descriptive mind

I'd meet a variety of people,

and they would ask me,

what is beautiful,

I would say a personality,

then I would be looked at weirdly,

Society says makeup and slim bodies,

then I'd get mad,

you asked for my opinion,

and I gave it,

then you told me,

I was wrong,

How can I even live up to expectations,

when I cannot see?

I can see inner beauty,

just not outer

What's wrong with that?

Beauty is Beauty,

To me, that is clear,

For I'm not a Barbie robot,

Inner Beauty is what matters most,

Who cares what Society says?

Society is judgmental,

and rude,

Making women want to be pretty,

I'm not a plastic,

I strive for individuality,

For I am,

The blind beauty

(Not really-I'm not blind. This poem came to my mind one day, when I was wondering about how do the unseeable see beauty????)
