Liam Payne
"I'm gonna be a mighty king, like no king was before, I'm brushing up on looking down, I'm working on my...RAWR!" I sang along to my all time favourite Disney film, The Lion King, when I was interrupted by a couple of claps. I turned my head and looked over the back of the couch, only to see Liam, my childhood best friend.
"Liam!!" I screamed as I hopped over the sofa and jumped into his arms, old habits die hard, what can I say? He laughed at me and began,
"Well hello to you to (Y/N)! You haven't changed at all have you?" I giggled and slapped him playfully after he had carefully set me down on the ground.
"I'll have you know, that...no, I haven't actually," Liam sighed and ran his hand through his hair, "Liam, dude? What's up?" I dragged him to my room by his sleeve. As I shut the door he sat down in the middle of my bed, looking around.
"Well, nice to know your supporting us," he chuckled, pointing to they many one direction posters that covered my white walls.
*FLASHBACK*
"Higher Liam!" I screeched, as a 13 year old Liam pushed me on the swings.
"God (Y/N), don't you ever get tired of the swings, every time we come here its always the first thing you run to!"
"Seriously Liam, I could never get tired of the swings! Or of you pushing me on them! Ha!" I laughed contentedly to myself, "Alright Liam, let me off now." Liam pulled the swing to a half and I jumped off the seat casually. We headed to the tunnel next. To hide in it and just to talk.
"Liam?"
"Yeah?"
"Promise me something?"
"Anything (Y/N)," Liam smiled.
"Promise we'll always be best friends, no matter what?"
"Of course we will! I promise!" And with that Liam and hooked pinkies and shook on it.
*END OF FLASHBACK*
When Liam left to be in the band, it was easy at first, keeping in touch, I mean. We texted every day, he called me almost every night, we skyped at least one a month, but recently things have gotten harder. He's always busy, he abroad so texts and calls cost far too much. And especially since he got together with Dani. Don't get me wrong, I love Dani, we talk loads when Liam's busy! Then suddenly it hit me.
"Li, have you had an argument with Dani?" He laughed a cold, dry laugh, something he's never done before.
"(Y/N), it's about time I told you. Dani and I were never together. It was all management's idea. I'm only allowed to tell you now because they told me that I can 'dump' her now." Liam rubbed his face, fell backwards and curled up in a ball.
"Aw, Li, so, what's wrong?" I ran over to his side, sitting next to him.
"What's wrong is that the whole time I've been 'with' Dani meant I wasted so much time not being with the one I want to be with," my heart shattered at his words. I guess I've always had a bit of a crush on Liam.
"So, what is laying there, venting to me gonna do about it then?" I put on a brave face and swallowed my pride. I'm gonna help Liam, that's what best friends do.
"Your right, (Y/N), I've gotta do something! Something big!" Liam sat up, a large smile residing on his lips. And with that, Liam grabbed my face and smashed his lips to mine. I was so stunned that it took me about five seconds to respond to what was happening. It wasn't a long kiss, but it was fantastic, nonetheless!
"(Y/N), your the one I wanted to be with, ever since that day you made me promise we'd always be best friends, will you do me the honour of being my girlfriend?"
And that's how my life as Liam Payne's girlfriend began.
