'What makes human life meaningful?'
As this topic was brought up I felt like it needed more attention. This question stroke me and left me confused and begging to figure out what makes human lives meaningful .At least what do I think makes human lives meaningful ?
I often think the more people you have impacted on makes your life meaningful .That if you can make someone's life here on earth better then you are doing what you were sent here to do. Everyone has a role here in life that many do participate in . Paul says that "account of the life of the mind, while neuroscience laid down the most elegant rules of the brain. Meaning, while a slippery concept, seemed inextricable from human relationships and moral values... Literature not only illuminated another's experience, it provided, I believed, the richest material for moral reflection. My brief forays into the formal ethics of analytic philosophy felt dry as a bone, missing the messiness and weight of real human life."
So maybe human life isn't what you do while you're living but what you leave when you die .
