Something felt very wrong when Maddie dropped off Raven. I could hear my wolf Blake telling me to go to her but I can't. When she whispered in my ear to look after our daughter I felt like she was saying her goodbyes. Was she leaving? 'Aiden I need you at the pack house right now!' I mind linked Aiden. If someone knew what was wrong with Maddie it would be him. 'Yes Alpha, may I ask what for?' He answered back. 'Now Aiden!' I used my Alpha tone on him.
Twenty minutes later I heard a knock on the door. "Come in" I said. Aiden walked in and bowed his head saying "Alpha, what is it that you needed me for?" "I need to ask you, what is wrong with Maddison?" Before he could reply to me his phone started to ring. I watched as his eyes snapped open he quickly answered his phone forgetting I was there. "Maddie babe where are you?
..wait what!! You left already?..But-..Maddie please be careful okay? Remember our training and always remember why your doi-" I couldn't take it anymore I stole his phone and spoke "Maddie where are you?" I heard her breathe hitch and she said "Danny, what are doing with Aiden?" "MADDISON WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!" I growled annoyed and scared for her. She didn't say anything for a minute till I hear a loud 'BANG!!' Oh my God what was that!! "Maddie what was that?" Again the line was blank. "Maddie??..MADDIE!!" "Take care of our daughter Danny, I love you" she whispered before she hung up on me. "Maddie? MADDIE??.." I spun around so quickly to face a saddened Aiden and spoke to him "Where the hell is my Mate Aiden?" But again he stayed quiet with his head held low. "Tell me where the fuck she is right now!" I spoke in my Alpha voice and he had no choice but to reply to me. "She is on a mission Alpha" wait what? "What mission?" I asked fearing his answer. "Many years legends spoke of a great hero that would rise to evil. She of whom would be born as part angel and part werewolf. Legends spoke of great evil that will come upon our species and only the destined one will save us. With the sacrifice o-of..her Blood" he said the last part so quietly and as soon as he did I had him pinned to a wall. "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN BY THAT AIDEN?" I roared at him. "Why does it matter? It's obvious that you don't care about her" As soon as he said that I growled at him. "You have a Luna now Alpha, and a daughtet to look after. You have a pack to care and I highly suggest you do just that!" I watched in shock as he said those words to me. I was his Alpha for fucks sake.
After a long pause I finally had the courage to ask him what I feared of. "What d-do yo-you mean b-by..Blood?" At this point I had let go of my hold on his neck and I watched as he bowed his head and spoke " It means she may die for you, your daughter and everyone of us the werewolf species. It means that she's going to protect us to death as I've taught her and it means that you will have to move on with your life and you new family" I was about to fight him when I felt pain rushing up my side and I knew her fight has begun. "Aiden tell me where she is NOW!" I said to him but he shook his head. As I was about to ask again my Luna walked in the room. She came to and took my hand in her little one. "I understand what you have to do, I lost my mate Danny and I don't want you to go through the same pain. I love you but I know now that she's still your mate and you'll always love her. I mean the moon Goddess paired you both for a reason. Now go to her" smiling gratefully at the woman in front of me turned to Aiden and ordered him to tell me where she was. "Dawnington Reserve" and off I went to find my mate. "Hold on baby I'm coming for you" I mind linked her hoping she could hear me.
I rushed past the trees with one goal in mind 'Save my mate' me and Blake were so determined that nothing was going to stop us.
