Chapter Five

                                               ••Grace's P.O.V••

I follow the boys to where the V.I.P performance is being held, then go to stand beside Joan behind the audience.

"How's everyone doing tonight?" Riley asks the small crowd. They all cheer. "Great, the first song of the night called Settle For Less." I've never heard them sing live before other then in the car when they're goofing around. They sounded amazing and I can't even explain it. Next they played End of the World and a cover of Rascal Flatts I Won't Let Go.

"Okay, before we play the next song we have a little video to show you guys." Connor starts.

"You all know it was Toby's birthday yesterday." Braiden says and everyone cheers.

"But, did you know it was also his best friend Grace's as well?" Thomas asks. I look at Toby and he has a mixed expression of surprise and fear. He then looks over at me and I shrug.

"So Grace why don't you come up here and watch the video with us?" Riley asks. I look over at Joan and she's telling me to go up with them. I walk over and stand beside Toby.

"To be fair I have not seen this video, this is all them." Toby says gesturing to the rest of the guys.

"Actually, it was all Connor." Thomas says. Again, the small audience cheers.

"So without further ado the slide show from all of Toby and Grace's birthday tradition and some other random pictures!" Connor presses play and the video starts. 'Oath' by Cher Lloyd starts playing, everyone watches the screen and 'awe's' at the pictures of us when we were little. It comes to when we were 12 and Toby and I were wrestling for the remote in the living room. I'm sitting on his stomach and he's holding the remote in his hand, I'm looking at him with my eyebrows raised and my arms crossed. Toby's got a small smirk on his face and isn't even trying to push me off.

"I didn't know anyone took a picture of that." I whisper to Toby.

"Neither did I." he replies. A few more pictures later the pictures from our cake fight yesterday came up. Everyone laughs, even us. Next is our birthday tradition, Toby is looking right at the camera and smiling, while I have my eyes closed and the rose in the cameras view. Everyone 'Awe's' again and the video stops. I look at Connor and he's already looking at me. I mouth a 'Thank you.' and he smiles and nods.

"Awe, wasn't that cute." Thomas says pinching Toby's cheeks.

"Thanks bro." Toby says pushing Thomas away from him.

"No problem." he replies. "Now this next song is dedicated to you Grace! Here is Soldier!" I smile and walk back to where Momma McDonough is standing.

"That was so cute!" she exclaims.

"It really was, I didn't know half of those photos were taken." I say smiling.

"That's what makes it all the more special." We put our attention back on the guys as their singing. I can't help but look over at Toby and smile, he smiles as he notices me. When they finish their song they say a quick little speech.

"That was the last song, but we hope to see you at the show and maybe the bus party! We'll be doing a meet and greet after our set so come and chat." They all wave then exit. I quickly run over to them, and jump on Toby's back.

"The slide show was so cute!" I say.

"It was." he says. I slide off his back and go over to Connor.

"Thank you so much for the slide show, it was so cute! And I didn't even know half the pictures were taken!" I hug him and he hugs back.

"Not a problem. I enjoyed making it." he says. I let go then walk back over to Toby.
