Date night disaster

Sorry I forgot to post this yesterday

Elliot's POV

I made my dinner plans for liv and me, everything seemed to be going very well. Lucy came and she had the kids all together play with their toys, It was all clear to head out. Liv came down dressed for our date and she looked as beautiful as ever in her

Liv: Lucy would it be possible for you to have them asleep before we get back? I know their a bit of a challenge at bedtime

Lucy: It will be fine Mrs Stabler, once they release all this energy playing and have a bath they'll be easy to put down. Have a wonderful night

Liv: thank you, girls be sure to be on your best behavior for Lucy and tomorrow we can all go out for a fun day at the park

She gave the three children a kiss on the cheek before heading out with me. We made our way to the car and I drove us to the restaurant where we walked inside and the host looked through the book to find our reservation but couldn't

host: I'm so sorry but it seems we have a bit of a mix up and it's our fault. I made a mistake and have you down for next weekend. I'm so sorry but we are completely booked for the night due to a bridal party

Liv maybe we can go somewhere else for dinner. This doesn't have to spoil our evening completely. What do you say? Do you still want to do this?

Liv: sure

We headed outside and the car was gone, I parked in front of a fire hydrant and it had been towed away. I thought this night couldn't possibly get any worse until the rain started pouring down. All I wanted was one romantic evening with my wife and this happened

Liv: you don't have to look so disappointed El I know you went through a lot to have a nice romantic evening with me and here we are standing in the rain while music is coming from God knows where and it just happens to be our wedding song. I think dancing in the rain is straight out of a romance movie. It's fine that the car is gone and there's no chance at dinner, we can still make this a night to remember

I took her by the waist and we danced around in the rain to our wedding song which was forever love by Reba McEntire and it was perfect. Yes we have some pretty bad luck, but she manages to make the best out of any situation. we waked to the nearest park where we sat on the wing swing set talking for hours about everything and nothing. It turned out to be a pretty amazing night. We caught a cab home to meet the three kids fast asleep and Lucy picking up their toys

Lucy: I was just tidying up a bit

Liv: you can leave the rest of that to me. Thank you so much for doing this on such sort notice and if your free tomorrow evening would you let us know

Lucy: I'm available whenever needed, I don't actual have a full time job

Liv: if you'd take it we can use a full time sitter because we're both pretty busy with our job and we sometimes come home late. You can have most weekends off and once their out of school their not too much trouble, you'll only have Noah to handle most of the day and he's no problem. I also check in a lot because I like to have time with them

Lucy: you sound like super mom, you try to do it all and I would be happy to take on this job fulltme. you have the best kids ever. Their no problem at all and so polite. I guess I will see you guys tomorrow

Liv: great, have a good night lucy

Lucy: you too

She left out and we cleared up the remainder of the toys before getting out of our soaked clothes and stepping into the shower

Elliot: I know tonight didn't turn out as planned, but I had a really great time with you and since we have a full time sitter do you want to try this again tomorrow?

That sounds perfect, once we take those kids of yours to the park and have them play a while we can try having dinner or a movie

Elliot: we can make time for both, I just don't want you feeling like your not a priority when you are

I know that. We have crazy lives and it's not getting easier, but having each other makes it manageable. Our kids come first all the time, but every now and then we should think about ourselves. Saturdays is now our day and Sundays we take the kids out to have a little fun

Elliot: that works for me, you know without you my life would be a complete mess. It's like you were made for me because together we're such a good fit

Yes we are and I believe that some people are made for each other. We've spent a really long time trying to get off all this sand, I'm going to bed now

Elliot: I'll be right out

I got out of the shower and dressed in the bathroom before heading into the bedroom where Noah, Cierra and Sofia were now laying. I smiled at the sight of them cuddled up together and just got into bed beside them. A few minutes later elliot came in and joined us

Elliot: our kids really enjoy sleeping in our bed

It's cute how they always bring Noah with them, I don't mind a sleepover tonight and try not to wake them

Elliot: I won't wake them

He got into bed and gave each of the kids a kiss goodnight before drifting off to sleep himself
