Olivia's POV

It's been a week since the Jacob incident and I still haven't been able to go into the office. My daughter's been having nightmares every time she tries to close her eyes and that breaks my heart not being able to help her. The only thing I've been able to do is have her sleep snuggled up next to Elliot and me. Today I've decided to set up a play date with Sofia, Cierra and the broderick twins at Laura's house. I drove the girls down to Laura's house and her babysitter let us in before leaving for the day

Laura: Olivia, I'm so glad you could make it. Where's your little man?

Noah's spending the day with his dad. Elliot thinks they need some father son time so he took Noah to the park and I think he's meeting up with Jake

Laura: those mend their guy time, I'm glad that I finally get to spend the day with you. Girls you can go play with nick and harry in the other room, their building a lego tower 

Sofia held on to me tightly while Cierra went to go play with the twins

Laura: She's having a rough time too I see

Yes, It's been pretty rough with the nightmares every night and she doesn't want to go back to school so I had her take the week off, but she has to back eventually. I know she's not prepared for Monday, so what can I do to help her?

Laura: be there for her and your amazing with trauma victims, even more than I am, your seeing her as your baby and it's causing you to overthink things. You can handle this

I honestly don't feel like I can and it's breaking my heart that there's nothing I can do for her Laura. I help people everyday and I can't help my little girl

Laura: I see your problem. This affected you just as much as it affected her, maybe even more. You have to talk to someone before trying to help her and it's a thing I'm a good listener. I had Jake and Alicia my babysitter and they made me realize that this was not my fault. knowing you Olivia your probably blaming yourself

I'm her mother, it's my job to help her and I failed at it. Look at her, she's afraid to let me go

Sofia: mommy it's not your fault the mean man took me away, you and daddy brought me back like I know you would and the other boys said everything would be ok. 

Laura: she's not big on talking, but she's a pretty smart little girl. I think Sofia will be just fin won't you sweetheart?

Sofia: are you my mommy's sister? daddy said your mommy's best friend and my sister is my best friend 

Laura: Your mommy's like a sister to me so yeah. Sofia tell me why your afraid to leave your mommy alone. Are you afraid of someone?

Sofia: The mean man said he would hurt mommy and I don't want him to take her away from me. I love mommy

Baby nobody's ever going to take me away from you and the mean man can't hurt anyone ever again sweetie. Daddy made sure of that so you can go play alright. Mommy will be right here with your aunt Laura when you get back

Sofia: do you promise?

Yes I promise, I'm not going anywhere because I've got you, Cierra and Noah to take care of. If I leave you with daddy I'm afraid he might burn down the house trying to make dinner or something. Nobody can take me away from you guys. I love you too much to leave you behind

Sofia: I love you too

I know you do baby, go have some fun with your new friends 

I gave her a kiss on the cheek then watched as she ran off to play with her new friends. All throughout the day she kept looking back to check on me which was adorable, but I don't want her worried about loosing me. She's the light of my life

Laura: everything seemed to work out fine, she wasn't  worried about her safety, he was worried about yours. think you got it from here

Laura: I love you too Benson. We should have more play dates, the kids seem to really get along well. Look at them, my boys are actually being sweet to your girls. It's so adorable

Yeah, so my house next weekend? I'll set up a nice little play date for you and me while our husbands watch the kids play, I thine both could use a day at the spa and you paid last time so it's my treat.

Laura: that sound's so great. I'm looking forward to it. I'll see you on Saturday

It's a date. Girls it's time to get going, daddy's waiting for us at home

Sofia: mommy can we have a sleepover? 

Cierra: It will be so fun

Babies I don't see how that can happen tonight. We're not prepared for a sleepover and I'm sure handling four active little munchkins is too much for Laura

Laura: It's fine Olivia, with my boys I've learned to be prepared for everything. How about we make a fort in the living room and have a movie night?

Nicholas: that sounds like fun. Can we have pizza for dinner?

Laura: Anything you want baby. Olivia do you want to stay over for the slumber party? I can get rid of Jake so it can be us and our kids

That sounds good, they can have a guys night out, but they have my son

Laura: that's how we know they'll be responsible. It's a win win situation for us

We ordered pizza and made popcorn while the kids built their little fort. we watched the little mermaid and cuddled p with our babies until they fell asleep. Things feel like their finally getting back to normal and It's great, maybe we can get through this mess and move on sooner than I thought
