I woke up and CC was not home. It was morning so that was weird. I walked out to find a note saying he went to Ash’s place. I sighed and walked to the shower.
I took a quick shower and got dressed. I went to the kitchen and grabbed some waffles and threw them in the toaster. I ate and washed my dish and threw it in the dishwasher.
I went and sat on the couch. Ugh, this is so boring. I checked the time, 11:43 AM. The boys should be awake.
I called CC, right to voicemail.
I called Ash.
Hey.
Hey Ash is CC awake yet?
CC isn’t here?
What? He left me a note last night saying he was going to your house and when I woke up I found it. He didn’t come over last night?
No. Is everything okay? Did you try to call him?
I called and it went to voicemail, do you think he’s at one of the other guy’s houses?
Maybe, I’ll call Andy, you call Jake, then call Jinxx. I’ll come over if we can’t find him.

I hung up. Now I was nervous.
I called Jake, he didn’t know where CC was, then, Jinxx didn’t either. I started panicking. Where is he? I only knew one other person to call, I really didn’t want to call her. This is an emergency though. And he talked to her last night on the phone.. I had to call Lauren.

Lauren do you know where CC is? This is Athena, I’m sorry you probably don’t want to talk to me but I know you guys talked on the phone before I went to bed and he said he was going to Ash’s house and then he never did and no one knows where he is I am freaking out, have you heard from him?
Well, I don’t want to be the one to tell you this, but he and I met up last night. But don’t worry; he said he is in love with you and that I had to leave him alone. That was around midnight when he left the parking lot so I have no idea, I’m sorry.
Oh my god, okay, well, thanks for the information. The Guys and I are going to go find him.

I went to call Ash, but he came to the door.
I opened the door and he gave me a big hug.
“Did Andy know?” I asked.
“Nope. I’m guessing Jake and Jinxx didn’t know?”
“You’re correct. He met up with Lauren last night, I called her. She said he left around midnight. And she hasn’t heard from him from that point on. What if something bad happened? What if he’s hurt? What if he’s mi-“
“Athena, you are going to make yourself sick, Take a deep breath. I need you to try to calm down. What time was it when you last spoke to him?”
“Around ten last night why?”
“Because you can’t notify someone as missing until it’s been 24 hours if they are an adult.” He sighed. “So let’s go look for him.”
We went out to his car. I hoped in the passenger seat.
“What if he’s hurt? What if he got in a crash what if he-“
“ATHENA! Stop! Okay, find out where he met Lauren and we will drive from here to there and see if we can find him, from there, we will drive to my house because he told you he was coming but never showed up.”
“How do you know all this?”
“I watch a lot of crime shows.”
I texted Lauren and she gave me the address and we were off.
I looked everywhere the whole way there. No CC, not even his car, nothing. No trace of him the whole way there. I was starting to have a panic attack.
“Athena text the rest of the guys and tell them to help look, tell them to call the hospital, the police, tell them to find any clues they can.”
“Okay.” I sent a mass text to the guys.
They all agreed.
“ASH STOP!” I yelled.
He pulled off to the side. “What?”
“Broken glass.” I said. I jumped out of the car. I looked around for any sign of CC, or his car anything. I found something. Something no one else would find significant, but I knew it. It was the voodoo doll I had given him, it was just sitting on the ground a few feet from the glass.
CC was in a car crash.
