A few days had past and CC was still in a lot of pain, but he was getting better, his bumps and burses were fading away. Although his bones were still broken I thought it time to talk to him about what had transpired.

He was sat on the couch so I sat on the ground across from him.

  “Hey.” He smiled.

“We need to talk.” I sighed.

Instantly the smile was gone and replaced with a look of fear. “Are you going to break up with me..?”

“Well goodness no, I wasn’t planning on it, I wanted to talk about what happened that night.”

  “Of the accident?”

“Yeah, why did you think you had to go behind my back to talk to Lauren? I’m not the jealous type; I would have been fine with it. It hurt a lot more, and made you sound a lot less trustworthy when I asked Lauren if she had heard from you and she told me that you had gone to see her that night. I don’t think you realize how badly I was freaking out. I thought you were dead, or worse, with another girl. I damn near had a heart attack. Ash wasn’t even able to keep me calm. Let alone the fact that you were in a car accident. I thought that I was going to lose you and you have no idea how much pain I suffered from that.” I whipped a tear from my cheek. “Christian you have absolutely no idea how much you mean to me.”

He started to get up. “Athena, I’m sorr-“

  “Sit back down.”

“Then come sit next to me.”

I got up and sat next to him. He put his arm around me, he winced but he left it over my shoulder. “I am so sorry. I should have told you and I don’t even know what I was thinking, I’m so sorry, honestly.” He sighed. “I must have put you through so much stress. I would never leave you. I would never intentionally put you threw that.”

  “Can I ask you something?”

  “Anything.”

“How long were you and Lauren together?”

“Well, we were together about three years.”

“And you just ended it because you met me?”

“Well, I had been drifting away from Lauren for quite a while. I just needed that last push. I needed a reason. I could tell we were not meant for each other.”

“How did you hide her from the guys for so long?”

“Never talked about her, or asked her to come on tour. I never felt like they needed to know.”

“She still loves you.” I said, I knew it.

“Yes, but I don’t love her.”

  “Well that’s good.”

He chuckled. “Yeah, yeah it is.”

“Also, can you do me one favor?”

  “Anything.”

“Can you text her and tell her to leave you alone from now on, I don’t really get jealous, but Lauren drama is the most annoying thing I have ever had to deal with in my entire existence.“

He smiled. “I’ll text her right now. “ He leaned forward, which had to hurt on the count of broken ribs, but he grabbed his phone off the coffee table.

Cc~ Okay, Lauren, I am fine and all, but I need you to stop texting me, stop calling, stop trying to talk to me, I am kind of tired of it. We are done, forever. Athena is my soon to be wife and she is the only woman I love, Goodbye, Forever.

“Now that I like.” I smiled after I read it.

  “You I love.”

I sighed. “I just needed to know that you wouldn’t leave me. I would be pretty upset.. It might even be the death of me.” I giggled. “Shit, you are the death of me.”

“No, I’m obviously the death of ME” He gestured toward his broken body.

I kissed his tummy. “All better?”

  “Better.” He smiled.

“Good.” It was silent for a moment.

“You should know that I would never leave you. We will be together until the day we die.”

“And forever after that I would hope.” I smiled and kissed his cheek.

  “Together forever.”

“Starting to sound like a real love story.” I smiled and kissed him.
