What should I do today? I feel so independent, like a new woman. This is the life. I'm in the shower, unsure of what to do.Im 18, and I graduated high school last year. I'm living alone.
Well, only for a couple of months. Mum is on a trip in Mexico, and my sister is staying with my dad.
I decided to stay by myself because I want to be able to take care of myself, and not rely on other people. I get lonely sometimes, and kind of scared, but overall I've been enjoying it.I've been on my own for two weeks so far.
I slept in quite a bit today, it's 12.06pm. I'm going to go shopping and get some groceries because I have no plans for the day. I turn off the tap finally, and get out of the shower to dry off. I look in the mirror.
Ok, I definitely need to put some makeup on. I look so blotchy and red. Besides, you never know who you might run into! "What should I wear..." I ponder out loud, as I browse my closet. According to the Today Show it's 24 degrees, so I decide to put on a casual strapless top and some flowy pants.
Once I chuck on a light layer of makeup and brush my hair, I'm out the door.
As I begin to approach the tram stop, I notice that the tram is already there, so I quickly run to make it.
...I need to exercise more is all I'm gonna say.I'm craving a latte. I decide to get off the tram at Witcher Train Station, because there's a great coffee shop quite close to it.
As I'm exiting, I notice a bit of a chill in the air. Shît. I didn't wear a bra, so I really hope I don't get stipples. If you don't know what stipples are, they're when you can see your nipples through your clothing.
I push open the glass doors of the coffee shop, noticing a lot of people bunched up outside. Random... This place is never usually this busy. I approach the counter.
"I'll have a regular chai latte, thanks," I say, and the man takes note of that. "What's with all the people outside?" I ask.
From behind me, someone says, in a high, raspy voice, "yeah, I dunno. What's up with that, Haz?" The voice sounds strangely familiar.
Another person, with a deep, slow voice, says back, "not sure. Maybe there's a celebrity here, or something..."
I stop in my tracks. Those voices...
They both sounded VERY familiar. Like to the point where I think I know who they belong to, but I'm too scared to turn around. I turn around anyway.
There, stand Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. I can't believe this.
What the fûck?
----------------------------
After what seems like years, I finally get the courage to say, "oh! Wow! No way, I can't believe you're here - in Melbourne!" I sound like an absolute fûckwit.Harry giggles.
Shoot me, now.
"Yeah! Well, here we are. What's your name?" he says, and his voice sounds even sexier in real life.
"I'm Eva. Great to meet you," I respond.
"Great name. Nice to meet you! I love Melbourne," Louis adds. "I feel like it's underrated. It's probably my favourite city in Australia."
"I was just about to say that! Everyone loves Sydney. I don't know...maybe I'm just biased, but Melbourne is way better." I say, and the boys nod their heads in agreement.
What even is life?
"So how's your hiatus going?" I ask them, and Harry replies with, "it's been amazing. Just being able to, like, sleep, is the best thing. And just doing what you want is great too."
"I'm so happy for you guys. Good on you," I say back, truly meaning it.
"So are you a fan? Of the band?" Louis asks, his eyebrows raised.
"Yeah! Well, back when I was like, 13, everyone loved you, so I did too. Like, it was bound to happen! And then I kind of went off you guys for a bit, but when your latest album was released, I was just in awe!"
Both Harry and Louis smile at this, and then Harry asks me, "how old are you anyway...?"
My stomach just about drops and I feel very light headed. Should I lie? No. That's not cool.
"I'm 18," I say shyly, and I think I see Louis take a glance at Harry. Maybe I was just imagining it.
"Cool! You seem pretty mature for your age though," Harry says. And yeah. I actually am pretty mature for my age. I'm told that a lot. I laugh nervously, "yeah, I get that a lot."
"What about you come out with us tonight? We were just wanting to go to a club down this side of town...it might be good to have someone who actually knows the area!" Louis says, and Harry's face lights up.
"Yeah! Great idea, Lou!" He says back. I think I'm about to pass out. Half of One Direction, the world's biggest boy band, wants me to come out with them tonight. Well, holy fûck. All I can say.
"Wow! Thanks! That'd be amazing! What club were you thinking?" I ask the boys.
"There's a club called LUX just a few minutes down the road, if you've heard of it?" Harry says, his brows creasing. So...sexy...answer him!
"Uh...yeah! Yep! I know that one. Heard good things about it too." Finally my coffee arrives, and I take a small sip. It burns my tongue, but I don't even feel it. This is probably the best day of my life.
"Well, we better get going, but can I get your number? Where do you live? We can pick you up on the way." I give Harry my number, and he quickly texts me: hi X and I'm dead.
"I live on this road, actually, I'll text you the address later! What time do you think you'll wanna go?" I ask them.
They both look at each other. "Um, about 8? We could get some dinner there, maybe?" Louis says, awaiting my answer.
"Sounds great. I'll see you then!" I reply, and walk out the door. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I think I can feel them watching me as I walk out. Holy shît balls. I'm going out with Harry and Louis tonight! To a club!
Best. Day. Ever.
