"I wish I could stay," Harry tells me the next morning. He stayed over last night and we had a pretty romantic night - if you know what I mean. It was even better than the first time, and I already want to do it again. Like, right now would be good, thanks.
"Me too! Do you really have to catch this particular flight?" I ask him with hopeful eyes. He pulls on his plain white tee and fixes his hair. Not like it needed fixing.
"I'm sorry, Eva, I have this party I've got to go to. I know it sounds stupid, but my friend Luke really wants me there because I haven't seen him in ages. I'm not sure how long I'll be gone, or when I'll come back, but I'll let you know as soon as I find out." He leans down to give me a smooth kiss on the lips while I'm still lying in bed. "I love you," he says shyly.
"Love you too," I tell him, equally as shyly. He waves goodbye as he picks up his phone and before I know it he's gone, and the front door has slammed.
I really hope he's not gone for too long, but who am I kidding? He's known by so many people and has so many friends, he'd never spend all of his time in Melbourne with me. He did tell me he loves me, though, so that's got to count for something. Right?
I finally pull myself out of bed to make a cup of tea, and I hear a knock at the door. Who could that be? If it's Kaia, I'll literally strangle her. I'm not joking. I walk to the door in my dressing gown and open in slowly.
Louis?
"Hey, love," He begins. "Sorry to barge in, but could I 'ave a word?"
Oh no. That's never a good sign. What could he have to say that's so important? I lead him inside and tell him to make himself comfortable, and he takes a seat on the couch. "Tea?" I ask him, and he replies, "no, thanks," so I just grab my own from the kitchen.
"What's up?" I ask Louis cautiously as I sit down on the couch next to him.
"So...you and Harry, huh?" He smirks. This must not be too serious then.
"Yeah...what about us?" I ask, sheepishly.
"He told me that you've both said 'i love you', and before you freak out, it's just somethin' he does. We tell each other everythin'."
"We did..." I say, ushering him to make his point.
"I just want you to know that he truly means it. He really does love you, I can see it in his eyes. I've never...seen him like this with...anyone," he says, meaningfully.
"Thanks, Louis...I really appreciate you coming all the way over to tell me. I truly mean it too. I've never loved anyone before, so it's all a bit new to me," I chuckle nervously.
"Don't worry, love, it's always a bit nerve racking innit. But that's what makes it special." Louis stands up, abruptly. "Anyway, jus' wanted to come see how you were doing...Harry feels really bad about going to LA."
"I completely understand! Are you going too?" I stand up as well.
"Nah, I'm heading back home for a few days, then I'll go with the flow...I love not havin' to plan things out anymore!" He smiles warmly.
"Thanks for coming over," I tell him, and we go in for a tight hug.
"I guess I'll see ya when I see ya," he giggles, and I do the same. And then he's off.
-------------------------
It's another busy week after that one. I work from Monday to Friday as usual, but decide to take a Sunday shift as well. I don't have much else to do now that Harry isn't here. And Kaia. She hasn't tried calling or texting and I'm happy about that. I don't know if I'll ever forgive her, but it definitely won't happen in the near future.
Harry and I have been texting occasionally, but he's been really busy catching up with people he hasn't seen in months.
The tabloids have calmed down now, there aren't any more rumours going around about Harry and me. I'm really glad about that. I just want this time to pass. I just want Harry back.
I just got home from work - it's the next Monday night.
From Harry: hey baby...probably gonna be gone for another two weeks, but when I get back, I've got something a bit crazy to ask you .xx
To Harry: can you ask me now? i dont think i can wait that long :(((((
From Harry: nope! hehe, cant wait to see you eve
To Harry: same here...hurry home xx
Our conversation ends there, and I can't help but feel sad. I haven't seen any of my friends in ages, Kaia was really all I had, my mum is gone, I can't be bothered dealing with my dad. I literally have nobody to turn to. I guess I have Eliza, but she's at school and is usually busy with her own friends.
I hear a notification sound on my phone. It's Chloe Morello, she's just followed me on Twitter! I still can't believe we met all those weeks ago. She was really nice as well. Maybe I could hang out with her? I need to socialise - NOW. I've got work all week but I'm free on weekends and I usually finish work at 5.30pm.
I decide to message Chloe privately on Twitter:
To Chloe: hey! thanks for the follow, it was good meeting you that time haha!
I think that was pretty casual. As I'm about to walk into the kitchen to make dinner, I hear my phone beep again. Could that be her? Already?
From Chloe: hey there :) yeah it was! we should do it again sometime?
Oh my god. It's like she read my mind. Seriously. I'm actually kind of freaked out at that, to be honest.
To Chloe: for sure, when were you thinking?
From Chloe: How about this Friday night we go out?
To Chloe: sounds great!
From Chloe: cant wait - talk to you later
Yes! Now this week is going to be hell. I just have to keep my mind off Harry and look forward to Friday. Ok, I definitely will not be able to keep my mind off Harry. I don't think anyone can. It's not possible.
Oh well, it's worth a shot.
