I apologise for not updating for the past couple of days. I love you all.

Have you ever felt so guilty about something you've done? You wish you could turn back time and take it back or redo it over. That's how Adrien felt. His feelings as Adrien seep through to Chat and he can't help but feel guilty no matter what persona he chooses to be.

How could his lady know about what happened between him and Marinette? How could Ladybug, or Love Bug, have possibly been akumatized on Marinette's behalf?

Now, it's obvious. The answer is right in front of Chat's face waiting to be pieced together. But Chat being Chat is completely oblivious to it. It wouldn't matter if someone pointed it out to him. He would still be oblivious. Heck, Love Bug could deakumatize into Marinette and Chat would still be oblivious.

Instead of fighting Love Bug like he would any other akuma, he stands there dumbfounded thinking about the question that left his partner-in-justice's lips. While in his daze, Love Bug receives a purple-rimmed telepathy call from Hawk Moth.

"What are you doing?" Hawk Moth growls. Love Bug narrows her eyes at nobody in particular as Hawk Moth rants on about the miraculous and how he so desperately needs them.

"Yeah yeah yeah," she cuts the villain off his rampage of words, "I got it. Just let me do this my way."

"There is no your way!" Hawk Moth shouts. Love Bug rolls her eyes before she shuts them, causing the purple to falter and fade into nothingness. She fought Hawk Moth's mind control away. She broke his use of telepathy.

Love Bug lets a smirk grace her face as she stares at the distant boy in front of her. "There is now." And she leaps on to the rooftops of Paris, throwing a stray pebble at the black cat before sprinting across the city.

Chat shakes his head as the pebble hits him on the forehead and his clawed hand rises to the spot that was hit. He frowns as he notices that Love Bug had disappeared. Chat looks down at his feet for a few moments before he snaps out of his self-disappointment. He spins around and stares at the gate. He summons his Cataclysm and slashes his claws along the old high-rise metal fence.

Before he steps into the closed up area, Chat looks back to make sure his lady isn't lurching around. He wouldn't want to have to fight both Hawk Moth and his beautiful lady.

He lets out a sigh as he begins to run towards the building ahead of him. He busts the door down with one hard jump kick and he readies himself for any sudden attacks.

Nothing.

He races around the building, opening every door and stepping inside every room. He didn't leave a single rock unterned. As he opens one of the last two doors in all of the rickety old building, he happens to hear shuffling.

Chat freezes in his spot and before he knows it, he's slamming the door open and staring at the villain that has terrorised his beloved city for years now.

All types of feelings rush through the black clad hero as the view of the purple and grey coloured suit catches his attention. Feelings of betrayal, anger, fear for his city and his lady.

How could a single man do such a thing to such a kind hearted girl like Ladybug. How could a single man do such a thing to the civilians of Paris. How could a single man be so god damn cruel.

Memories of each Akuma-ridden civilian flash through the blonde's head. The Bubbler, Rogercop, Reflekta, Lady Wifi, Animan. Even Antibug. He felt his heart ache for all of the people that had been akumatized by the horrible man behind the silver and purple mask, behind the purple rim of telepathic control.

He feels the fear and the ache that all the victims of Paris had felt every time someone was corrupted by an Akuma. He feels every feeling that has been felt. Every god damn feeling.

His heart yearns for his lady and their last encounter doesn't do justice for his mind. Chat thinks of all the times Ladybug has pushed him away by his nose. When she would laugh at his attempt at flirting with her. How he would say his puns and she would groan or roll her eyes. How they would fist bump after defeated an Akuma. When she would appear out of no where, automatically knowing where he is despite not being able to see him.

Ladybug was a gift from God, he thought. The heavens had sent Chat a guardian angel in a red spandex suit. A beautiful human ladybug that leaps across rooftops and fights evil. His perfect guardian angel. Chat couldn't ask for anything better. For anyone better. Ladybug is his definition of perfection evolved into his definition of the perfect love interest. No matter how many times he will attempt to woo his lady, she refuses him and he finds that characteristic of hers strangely alluring and he finds himself following along behind her like a lost puppy.

As long as he's her lost puppy, he thinks, he's okay. As long as she doesn't leave him, he'll be okay. As long as he has his lady, has her, he will be okay. She is hope personified to him. She is love personified to him. She is perfection personified.

As all of these thoughts invade Chat Noir's mind, he can't help but acknowledge his enemies presence and take in how he looks. Chat thinks he looks oddly familiar, regarding his facial structure and his body stance, but he brushes the thoughts aside as he readies to fighting stance.

"Ah, Chat Noir." Hawk Moth's smile widens in all of his evil glory at the heroic black cat in front of him. Chat Noir's frame stiffens at the sound of the villains voice, at how evil and cruel one single being can sound. "You found me."
