It'd been a couple of weeks since 'incident' with Taylor at the motel. I'd been a vampire for these past two weeks. I hadn't gone out or even looked out of the window. I was too overwhelmed with what happened and did not want to go out anywhere.

Cassie took what I said better than I expected. She told me that I was just trapped in a bad relationship and it is hard to get out of one.

We were both on Cassie's bed, she was on her phone sitting down and I was lying down blankly staring at the ceiling.

"May, I know I've asked you a few times already but-"

"Cassie, I've already told you I am not going out anywhere for a while." I interrupted.

"Come on May! You need to get out, you can't just shut yourself in here forever! It's unhealthy." Cassie said, making a fair point.

I rolled and eyes and huffed, sitting up. "I just don't think I'm ready to go out and see people. People who are in relationships and that are happy, people who don't have any worries."

"Well not everyone is like that, we can go out somewhere where people just go for fun, doesn't have to be a restaurant or the mall, we could go to a club! Remember, like old times? The fun we had? We haven't been out clubbing for months!" Cassie eagerly said.

"Cass you know I love you dearly, but sometimes I don't think you understand me." I laughed.

"How can you say that? Of course I do, I just want you to feel happy, May."

"Cassandra, please no more nonsense talk, I beg." I grunted.

"Let's go out, May, tonight...please?" She said, elongating the 'e'.

"Say we did go out, what would I even have to wear? I don't have any clothes anymore, they're all in Taylor's truck. All I've got is that crap in my rucksack." I said with despair.

Cassie jumped off her bed and leaped to her wardrobe.

"Uh, hello?" She said, flinging open the doors. "You can wear one of my dresses, May!" She said with excitement pulling out a beautiful little black dress. "You can wear this! You'll look smokin' in this one."

I turned to my right where Cassie stood holding a medium length, sequin, black tight dress; which was rather beautiful.

Cassie saw how I was looking at the dress and then proceeded to get out a matching pair of black heels and a faux leather black purse to match.

She could see I was somewhat persuaded.

"So.. What do you say? You likely?" Cassie said, swaying the dress around.

I thought for a moment. "Uh..no." I abruptly said.

"What!?" Cassie said, laying the outfit on the bed. "I, I thought you liked the dress, May! I thought you were gonna say yes." She said in a disappointed tone.

"It is an amazing outfit." I confessed.

"It'd be even more amazing if you wore it out tonight though." Cassie replied.

"That is a good point." I laughed, feeling happier.

"So why don't you?!"

I slumped back into the bed and grunted once again. "If I go out this one time, will you not ask again until I feel properly ready?" I reasoned.

"Yes! I won't ask again, I promise!" She squealed, jumping back on the bed.

"Ok, fine." I smiled.

"Woo!" Cassie laughed.

"Well, let me sleep for a while. It's only 4pm. Wake me up at 6 would you?" I said, closing my eyes.

"Whatever you say." Cassie replied.
