aries: nike (goddess of victory) // nike is well-liked, strong and symbolizes victory. she has angel wings, rides a chariot and is commonly viewed as beautiful and captivating.

taurus: gaia (primal goddess of the earth) // gaia (or gaea) serves as a personification of the earth in many myths. she essentially gave birth to the earth and universe and can be known as the "mother of all."

gemini: chaos (the primeval void) // in greek mythology, chaos existed in the very beginning of time. chaos basically personifies what the universe was prior to life. chaos can be described as a large heap of elements jumbled together, that lead to the creation of the planets and sky.

cancer: achelois (minor moon goddess) // the english translation of "she who washes away pain." she was a dedicated mother to 20 children and often the recipient of sacrifices to the dodonian oracle.

leo: apollo (god of the sun, the light, music and prophecy) // apollo has many specialties, the most well-known being the sun, music and prophecy. apollo is also considered to control healing, medicine and truth. his daily task is to ride the sun chariot across the sky.

virgo: epione (goddess of soothing) // epione controls the soothing of pain, in fact, her name means "soothing." she and her family were worshipped alongside athena and aphrodite.

libra: eos (goddess of the dawn) // eos is a titan goddess who represents dawn. she is married to astraeus, god of the dusk. eos and astraeus have many children, each child representing something that occurs during twilight.

scorpio: benthesikyme (daughter of poseidon, goddess of waves) // benthesikyme's name can be translated into "sea depth" or "lady of the deep-swells." she is the daughter of poseidon and amphitrite. she is also known as area nymph who resides in ethiopia.

sagittarius: calypso (nymph of ogygia) // calypso is a nymph who lived on ogygia, a mythical island. when odysseus ended up on her island, she fell in love with him and used her beautiful singing to coax him into staying. eventually odysseus left and though she was angry at first, she said goodbye to him and gave him wine, bread and a raft.

capricorn: alcinous (king of the phaeacians) // alcinous translates into "mighty mind." alcinous was a grandson of poseidon and ruled over the phaeacians.

aquarius: orithyia (lover of boreas) // orithyia was a beautiful maiden who boreas, the north wind, fell madly in love with upon seeing her. boreas carried her up to the sky where they lived together and had children.

pisces: nymphs (female nature spirits) // minor goddesses of locations or landforms, such as forest, seas, rivers, etc. depicted as youthful beings who animate nature
