Chapter 5:

I decided to walk home since the weather was nice. I was coming up onto a park which meant my

house was close. The park looked empty and so I took a seat at the swings and sat my back pack down ok the wood chips next to me.

"Hey why are you here by yourself?"

Oh no. Was he stalking me? This British guy... He was following me, I thought. I turned to the swing next to me.

"Hey, why are you following me?" I asked the curly haired boy, mocking his British accent.

He let out a small chuckle at my attempt of his accent.

"I don't think we have have properly met. I'm Harry."

"Harry who?"

"Harry Styles,"

"Uh I'm Faith Olivia Parker."

I was close to stuttering.

There was a short moment of awkwardness and then he broke the silence.

"So what's your story?"

He slowly asked me.

"Why should I tell you? I mean I barley know you?" I was pushing him away. I was scared to talk to him about my "story" but something about him made me feel comfortable and safe.

"So? Why are you so scared to opening up to people? I'm not gonna hurt you." He softly persuaded me to open up to him.

"Well- uh - um- when I was nine years old, my mom died. She was uh- murdered when her car broke down on her way home from work. It was really late and she was shot and the car was stolen. My father said they never found the killer."

Tears rushed to the surface of my eyes. I guess he saw I was on the verge of crying and got up from his swing. He pulled me into a hug. And strangely I hugged him back. He made me feel secure and safe. I didn't know why but I liked having him with me. I started to like Harry styles, a lot.

(A/N: Would've been the end of the chappie but I thought that would have been too short so... Continue reading!)

I pulled away and I knew I was hugging, practically a stranger. But I felt like he could protect me. I don't know it was a stupid thought.

I checked my phone, ugh it was 5:15 and if I wasn't home by 5:30 my father would.... Well I'm not sure but it wouldn't be good.

"Uh I have to go like um, now!" I exclaimed.

"Why now?" He questioned.

"I just... I have to be home by 5:30 or else...." I stopped myself short.

"Or else what?"

To tell the truth I hadn't known myself what would happen but I knew it wouldn't be good.

He must have seen the fear in my eyes because next thing he said was

"Is there something wrong? Is someone trying to hurt you?" He looked puzzled.

That was the great thing about Harry, he could read expressions very well. And that made me feel nice to know that someone cared enough to ask.

"Uh no I just, I have to go like, now."

As I got up from the swing I slung my backpack over one shoulder. I was walking away and he gripped me wrist.

"Faith, please tell me if something is wrong, I care about you."

Okay was this a prank? He said he cared about me and I didn't even know him. Well I knew his name but I just met him today. I was thinking when his voice snapped me back to reality.

"Uh here's my number, call me anytime you need me. Do you need a ride home? " He pointed to his black rangerover.

"Uh no I can walk." I tried to be polite but I needed to get home fast.

"C'mon it's fine." He insisted motioning to his car.

"Um okay." I walked by his side to his car getting in the passengers seat.
