Chapter 16:

Liam and I dropped the cake in the fridge in the back of the party room. We set up some decorations on the wall and set out the table covers. We set out the purple silverware and an hour later the place looked ready for a party. Harry was probably up now reading my note.

HARRY'S POV:

Where the hell was she? First of all it doesn't take this long to go to the store. And she couldn't have gone to the store she doesn't even have a car. She wasn't at her house. Where in the hell could she be?

I was getting worried. She didn't have many friends, actually she didn't have any. If her fucking dad took her I would beat the shit out of him.

FAITH'S POV:

Liam and I were proud with what we've done and we were about 10 minutes away when I started to freak out.

"Uh Liam I don't have a car."

"So?"

"So how did I leave? I couldn't walk all the way there. I mean I could but that would be stupid to go that early. What do we do?"

"Uh,- hey put on your seatbelt!"

"Liam! Think fast!" I was panicking.

"Uh, we have to give him a present."

"What? Why? It's supposed to be a surprise!"

"No just give him a boring present and save his for his party."

"Oh, okay well what do we give him?" I asked frantically looking around his car."

"Uh..... These!"

He handed me some new looking decent shades.

"Okay but.... Why wouldn't the glasses be in a bag?"

"Uh you didn't have time to get a bag you wanted to get it before he woke up."

"Uh.... But still! How in the hell did I get here?" We pulled onto his street. "Hurry!"

"Uh he told me your story so.... You don't have family.... Or friends-"

"Hey!" I whacked his arm.

"Maybe you just got a ride from a stranger?" He smirked and pointed to himself.

"Um..... Fine." I smiled a little and laughed.

He dropped me in front of the house as I almost forgot the sunglasses. I was led up the steps as he sped off. I looked behind me and tripped over a step not watching my feet.

"Shit!" I again expected to hit the ground but landed in warm welcoming arms.

I turned to see Harry looking down at me.

"How come we keep greeting each other like this?" He said awkwardly. He helped me regain balance and we stumbled inside.

"So where were you?"

"Uh-"

"We have a full gallon of milk and you don't have a car."

He saw me holding my hands behind my back.

"What's that?" He tried grabbing it from me.

I held it out towards him and he put them on.

"I look good in these! Wait but how did you get these? You don't have a car?"

I felt like I was being interrogated.

"I took some cash from my wallet, and walked. Then someone asked if I was the girl they coming to your house. And I said yes so they wanted to give me a ride, they must have been neighbors."

"But.... Babe I know your lying to me." He gave me a look of disappointment.

I texted Liam asking him what to do and as if on cue Liam burst through the door yelling,

"Honey I'm home!" Harry jumped up running towards Liam.

"Liam! How'd you...." He turned to me.

I got up and gave Liam a hug and a kiss on the cheek whispering thank you in his ear. Harry's face grew red with jealousy.

"Babe, it was supposed to be a surprise.... But someone couldn't keep a secret," I looked to Liam giving him a look.

"We'll someone needed saving because of their bad lying." He mocked the look I have him.

I hugged Harry and kissed him sweetly helping him relax and bringing his jealousy down. He smiled and kissed me back.

"Happy birthday Harry!" Liam and I both said in unison.

"Faith, will you go on a date with me?"

I pretended to think about it.

"Mmmmm..... I'll think about it...." I grinned at him my tiny feet on their tiptoes giving him a big hug.

"Okay well..... You never brought donuts..... So.... Who wants breakfast?" Harry said.
